(@amoficschoni requested a part 2, so here it is! Hope you enjoy it, and sorry it took so long😁)

After a week of research and planning, you and Yelena had located Clint Barton's residence and had begun your stakeout. The two of you agreed that you wanted to approach him when his family wasn't home. It was better to have him alone and there would be no collateral damage. Finally, one Friday evening, Clint's wife and children had gone out to see her mother. Clint had decided to stay home to fix some equipment in their barn. You waited for an hour after they left to come out of hiding. You caught him off guard but swinging down from the barn rafters and kicking him in the chest. Yelena came from behind and held him in a chokehold. Gasping for air, he began to muster, "Who are you and what do you want? I'm retired you know. I don't do anything anymore." She nodded at you, and you swiftly kicked him in the face.

"Anymore! You remember Nat, right? She was my sister, and YOU are the reason she's dead."

"I tried! But she jumped and sacrificed herself. Do you think I wanted to live? I had nothing for me on earth, and I didn't even know if our plan to bring everyone back was going to work!" Yelena's chokehold on him loosed.

"What?" She said confusedly. She had gotten the impression that Clint had thrown her off, but it hit her that Nat would have obviously done it herself. Tears began to fall from her eyes. "Of course, I'm, I'm so sorry."

"We tried to bring her back you know? Dr. Banner did, but it can't be undone. That stone is too powerful. I'm so sorry." He fell out of her grasp and onto the ground.

"We'll be leaving now Mr. Barton. We apologize greatly," you said. Yelena and you began walking to the car you had parked a few miles away.

"I am so stupid," she said, "I feel terrible, that man didn't deserve our ambush."

"You were just doing what you thought was right, I understand your pain." Drekov had killed your best friend (for lack of a better term) when she finally broke free from her programming. "When he killed Stacia, my whole world felt gone. I was filled with rage, and there was nothing I wanted to do more than send a bullet through his fat face. I couldn't though. I was already building my life here, and I couldn't leave behind what I had worked so hard for. I believe you can do that too. Come live with me for a bit. I'll help you get a job, and you can live like a person." Yelena nodded with a smile.

"That would be nice, thank you," she said while her eyes welled up with tears. They weren't sad though, they were tears of gratitude. Yelena pulled you into a tight hug. You drove your car back to your apartment in the city and showed her around. "I've always wanted a dog ya'know?"

"We can make that happen," you said happily.
