Tristan POV:

When I got in that car with her, I decided to fly her to my place in Denver. I contacted my assistants and made sure the jet was ready for this long adventure with this woman.

Alina is the most insubordinate woman I've ever met. She acts confident and fierce, when she's really shattered and weak inside.

The entire drive to my private jet was almost complete silence. All she did was stare out the window, her beautiful but pained emotions showed on her face.

She seemed to be in another world, present but absent at the same time. It was as if whatever she was looking at caught her attention, and brought her back to some long lost memory.

When she wasn't looking outside, I could sense her eyes on me. She would sneak a glance at me a few times throughout the ride.

My attention was on my phone, typing now and then. I was furious with what she did back at my mansion, but I couldn't help but smile with the satisfaction of winning.

She is stubborn and hard to get to agree to anything. The only way I got her to listen to me was by force, something she obviously only listens to.

What the hell happened to me? What have I gotten myself into with her of all people.

Why is she so different from any other woman? I didn't have the answers to any of my questions, nor did anyone else.

Something inside me draws me to her though. It's probably just lust, there's no way I have started to fall for her in the last few hours.

Even if our problems with each other died down, there's still no way I'd ever allow myself to do anything with Alina.

I didn't expect myself to get lured in by her personality and beauty so fast. All the women I've spent more than 5 seconds with were dashingly beautiful, but somehow it's more to her that meets the eye.

Whatever it is about her, I don't understand it. And I don't think I ever will.

Peaking a glance at this complicated and unexplainable woman, she was still in her daze. I found myself wondering what she was thinking about.

I resumed my staring session, taking her in from head to toe. She didn't even notice, as whatever she was thinking about had completely taken over her head and concentration.

Eventually I went back to my computer and checked my Emails. Me being an important businessman meant a new notification every second.

I devote my everything in my work and companies, I had very few days off.

Correction, I never get days off. I am fine with this, as I take my business extremely serious.

This is why I shouldn't be wasting my time with Alina. My life never had breaks, I always was busy, busy, busy.

Things would've been easier if she truthfully told me what she was there for. She did say it wasn't her, not sure if I should go with that.

This wasn't the reason she was going to be flying with me to Denver though.

The way she was with me from the very beginning irked me, and I promised that I'd make sure she understands everything about me.

Never forgetting who I am, and never daring to disrespect me. Not only this, but she needed to be punished for her bad behaviour.

Eventually she snapped back into reality, realizing what was happening. I saw how her face turned pale looking at my jet. I don't think this was because of the beauty, more like she understood she was going to be on it.
