Prologue
Ariel's POV
"A-are you sure... Are you sure this is the right decision?" My boyfriend of one month, Carter, sniffled slightly. My mouth felt dry and I felt practically emotionless as his gaze bore into my eyes.
"Of course." I snapped back. A crowd was gathering now as I saw a single tear slip from Carter's eye. He looked at the school, obviously trying not to cry. He's such a loser.
Like I care...
You do...
I can't...
But you do.
My mind is really annoying...
"I... Okay..." He said. "W-what did I do?"
"You're too clingy." My glare on him hardened. His eyes softened and he stared intimately at the ground.
"I should have known that you would do this." He turned to face me completely. "You do this to everyone... You get a guy, then you promise them you'll stay with them forever, then you break their heart in the harshest way you can think of. How do you even do that? Is hat even human? You know what... Don't ever talk to me again..." He said before running off, crying. All my friends that had gathered around to watch began to applaud me as I bowed and grinned as they approached me.
"That was great." Rachel, one of my closest friends grinned and gave me a hug.
"Thanks." I raised my eyebrows and smiled.
Stop acting happy.
Shut up.
"That sounds like ice cream to me." Will, one of my guy friends gave me a hug.
"Who's the slut going after next?" Cameron, another one of my guy friends asked me.
"Hmm, I don't know." I gave him a devilish smirk. "I think tonight sounds like a nice date. You know, my bedroom... All night"
His eyes widened and he stepped closer to me and places his hands on my waist. "Are you serious?"
"Of course I'm serious." I winked and bit my lip. He blushed and slapped my butt as my friends made whoot whoot noises.
"Sounds good to me." He said as he rubbed his hands all around my body. Just before I got into his car, I spotted a weird girl glaring intently at us and hugging Carter.
Eww, it's that Marla girl. She's gross.
At least she isn't a fake person...
