Chapter 2: Revelation

Previously on Young Justice...

Mike's secret became known to M'gann M'orzz during a raid on a Russian hideout while the Team was looking for an antidote for the virus that the Russians used to infect the kids at Happy Harbor High School. Artemis and Supergirl started to see Mike as something else than a psychopath.

M'gann visited Mike at his shop and they talked. Mike told her that he will continue his search until he brings his parents killers to justice and has his vengeance against the one who orchestrated the entire thing.

The Russians attacked Mike's shop and Mike killed some and scared the remaining ones left and knocked them out. He also knocked out M'gann and waited as his godmother came up the stairs and he captured her and took her to Saint Michales church on the outskirts of Happy Harbor.

Dinah found herself tied to a chair and that it was the Venom Rider who did it. They talked until Mike walked towards her and had Venom peel the mask away to reveal himself to his shocked and horrified godmother.

Mike's POV:
I saw the shock and horror in my godmother's eyes as she learned who Venom Rider really is. I smirked and walked over to a desk with tools and weapons that I had stashed here after this bell tower was abandoned for the new one. "Mike, but you can't be Venom Rider. This doesn't make any sense." Dinah said as she tried to wrap her mind around the truth.

"Hard to believe, isn't it?" I asked as I walked over to a closet and looked at her. "The kid you knew is the one the League dubbed a psychopath on a killing spree. The irony is this all started after the League failed to bring my parents killers to justice." I said with hatred in my eyes. "Mike, what happened to your parent's was an unfortunate cause during a robbery." Dinah said.

"And you believe that? I know the truth. The police didn't believe me about what I saw that day. They said that it was a robbery and that my parents just got unlucky." I said as I opened the closet and a Russian fell to the floor tied up and beaten.

"Mike, what have you done?" Dinah asked, "If you know anything, then you would have figured out that the cops that investigated my parents murder were paid off. This man was there that day. Say hello, to Dimitri Ivanov. The man who put a bullet in my mother's head after raping her." I said.

Dinah's POV:
My eyes widened when Mike said that. I can't believe that my godson has become this way. He ripped the tape off of Dimitri's mouth and he started crying in fear. "Please don't kill me." He begged, "Filth like this always end up back on the streets. The League doesn't even lift a finger to make sure that criminals stay locked up." Mike said as his mask covered his face again and he grabbed a knife and walked over to the Russian.

"No, don't do this!" I shouted, he grabbed the Russian and held the knife against his throat. He then looked at me and narrowed his eyes. "All it takes is one bad day for someone like us to end up a victim of the criminal scum like this man. IF you want to stop me, kill me before I kill him." Mike said as a black tendril shot towards me and slashed the chains that were holding me.

I then felt a gun in my hand and it was tapped on. My eyes widened and I looked at my godson. "Mike, no. It doesn't have to end this way." I said trying to convince him to stop. "If I could, I would. But I don't have a choice. But you do." Mike said as the knife in his hand became engulfed in flames and the Russian screamed in fear.

"Don't do this!" I shouted as I felt my hands shake and my breathing hitch. "WE told you, we can't. Not until we have our Vengeance and bring Justice to the souls of the innocent. For we are... VENOM RIDER." Mike said as two other voices combined with his and he became engulfed with flames and his mask changed to look like a skull with a long flaming tongue.
