"Maybe it's time we start over..."

For me, L'manburg used to bring me happiness. L'manburg used to be my safe space. I used to enjoy sitting quietly amongst the walls, gazing up at the endless night sky. But then those walls were destroyed along with everything else in the future. Eventually, L'manburg would be turned into Manburg, an absolute hell hole run by a crazy drunken dictator. The first time L'manburg was blown up, it was destroyed by Wilbur. After Wilbur was killed by Phil, Tubbo took over the presidency. Tubbo rebuilt the nation as it lies today.

Between all of this, there was war. The war broke friendships and trust. Without L'manburg, there would be no war. There would be no reason to betray each other. No more fighting....no more tears. It would be peaceful once more.

"Y/n?" I hear Tubbo say from behind me. I turn around to face him and smile. He sits down next to me on the bench.

"What's up Tubbo?" I ask.

"The plans for the Winter festival are finished. We have decided to invite everyone...including Dream." He says.

"Even Dream? Why would you want Dream to come?" I ask. Tubbo shrugs.

"We just thought we could fight him with kindness. Anyways, tomorrow is the festival. It would be great if you could come." He says. I nod.

"I'll be there," I respond. Tubbo and I sat quietly watching the sunset over the horizon.

"It's beautiful isn't it," Tubbo says with a small smile.

"It is," I say. I take a deep breath, letting the fresh air enter my lungs. "Tubbo?" I ask.

"What is it?" He turns to face me.

"How much do you love L'manburg?" I ask. He shrugs.

"I would say a lot. It is my home after all," He says. "Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering I guess," I say. He nods.

"It's getting late. We have a lot to do tomorrow, we should get some rest." He says. He was right, but a part of me didn't want to sleep. Tubbo leaves me alone and walks back to his house. I watch as his lights turn off soon after the door shuts. I turn back to look at the sun, but it was already gone.

The next morning was pretty busy as Tubbo suspected. I barely slept last night. It had been a while since everyone got together. Tubbo, Fundy, Quackity, and Ranboo stood quietly in the center of the city. The vibe felt off, as if something horrible was about to happen. Things seemed to be ready. L'manburg was decorated nicely. It wouldn't be too long until everyone would start arriving.

The last time we were all together like this was when war broke out. That's mostly why I feared that today would end up the same way. Tubbo claims it was only a winter festival, however I feel as if they have something else planned. I could see the way that they were talking. They all had a serious and slightly concerning look on their faces. Suddenly I heard voices from behind me. It was Puffy and Niki.

"Hey Y/n!" Niki says smiling brightly at me.

"Hey guys! Thanks for coming, we should be starting soon." I reply gleefully.

"Where are the others?" Puffy asks. I point towards the center of L'manburg. They nod.

"They look like they're up to something." Niki says softly. I nod.

"That's what I thought too." I mutter.

A while later everyone had arrived, everyone but Dream that is. We all were having a nice time playing games and just enjoying each other's company. Things were going well. Quackity walked over with a stern look on his face and pulled me aside.

"Y/n I think its time I tell you the plan." he says.

"Plan?" I ask. There it was. Quackity was about to tell me what they were talking about earlier.

"Were going to kill Dream once and for all." he says with no hesitation. I felt my heart drop. I couldn't say anything. It's as if my mouth was glued shut.

"I see." I say softly. Quackity looked confused.

"Why aren't you excited?" He asks.

"Oh sorry, I'm just tired that's all. I think that's a great idea." I say dryly. Quackity flashes me a smile.

"Sadly the others told me not to tell anyone else how the plan will be carried out." he says. I nod.

"So where is Dream anyway?" I ask. Hopefully not coming. Quackity shrugs.

"Not sure, he was supposed to be here earlier, but I haven't seen him." He says. A sudden rush of relief filled me.

"Maybe he had lied about coming." I suggest. Quackity sighs.

"I'm beginning to think you might be right about that." He says, rubbing his eyes with his hand.

Suddenly, we heard shouts coming from the center of the city.

"What is that?" I ask. Quackity shrugs and peeks out from behind the house we were standing beside. He freezes.

"That would be Dream..." He says, his face turning pale. I look at where he was looking and my eyes widened.

"Oh my God..." I croak. Dream was angrily building up the obsidian walls once again. He was dressed in full netherite armor. Tubbo said earlier that no one was supposed to wear armor to the festival. Quackity angrily runs over to the others.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!?" Quackity hisses. Dream turns and glares at us.

"You messed up." Dream growls.

"What do you mean?" Tubbo asks. Dream gestures for us to follow him. Everyone followed Dream cautiously to the community house. When we saw it we all froze.

"Oh no..." Tubbo murmurs. He looked almost as pale as Quackity did.

There the community house stood, completely demolished. I felt like I was going to throw up. The community house has been here since the start. Who would want to blow it up. We all stood in the center of it looking up sickly at what was once the center of the Dream SMP.

"Who did this?" I ask. Dream looks at me with rage.

"Who else? Tommy."

Its finally over so hopefully I will be able to write more. I also wanted to say that I really appreciate all of the support on this book so far. I'm glad to see people are enjoying it!
