"Sometimes...things don't work out as you hoped..."

As soon as I got as far away from the prison as I could, I took off running in a random direction. I wasn't sure where I was heading, but I didnt want Tommy to find me. I couldn't face him after seeing his reaction. The trees flew past me as I sprinted across the forest floor. 

"Y/n?" I hear from behind me. I stop quickly and stand still. I knew the voice. I turned around. 

"Techno?" I ask. Suddenly I realized I was standing in the cold snow.

"Why are you here?" He asks. I look around. I was in the forest near his house.

"Sorry...I didnt realize I came here." I say.

"Come to my house and relax for a second, you look like a mess." He says. I follow him quietly through the snow into the open air. We walked up the steps and I immediately noticed a new house nearby on the hill.

"Who lives there?" I ask. Techno turns and smiles at the house.

"Ranboo. He lives over here with Phil and I now. He stays here most of the time away from Snowchester." He says. I nod. I look at the house for a few seconds longer, until turning away to follow Techno into his house. He pulls out a chair and gestures for me to sit down.

"I'm sorry for intruding." I say softly as Techno goes through his chest. He hands some bread.

"Eat this, you're probably starving after running that much." He says. I nod, taking the bread into my hands. I nibble on the side slowly and sigh.

"I really messed up Techno..." I sigh.

"What happened?" He asks.

"I went to go see if Tommy was alive after Dream said he revived him. Unfortunately we were being to suspicious, causing Tommy to question us. Dream told him he loved me. Tommy looked so disappointed, I couldn't bare looking at him. I ran for it...then I guess I arrived here." I say. Techno nods.

"I see...so Tommys that upset huh?" He asks. I nod.

"Very." I reply. Techno sighs and nods.

"The only idea I have is to stay away from him for a while, let him figure things out. Going to ask him too soon would give you a bad response probably. Either wait a while, or let him come to you. There's not much you can do. He's a teenager, he's just throwing a fit." He says. I sigh.

"Techno, he's had bad encounters with Dream and so have I. I understand why he hated him so much. Dream killed him, and here I am defending his murderer. I feel like a terrible person and I dont know what to do now. Should I just run away from this entire place...find someone else to be with...leave everyone in the dust?" I ask. 

"That's an option I guess...but people will be so disappointed. What about leaving for a few months then coming back?" He asks.

"That could work...that way I could get away but not forever." I ponder.

"The real question is, are you willing to leave everything behind for a while, including Dream?" He asks. I pause. He had a point.

"Dream is in the prison...he wont go anywhere," I say. "At least I dont think he will go anywhere..." I say. Dream was very unpredictable. I had no idea what he was planning. Now that Tommy is back, and he knows our secrets, things could change. It was a good idea though, leaving.

"What is your plan?" Techno asks.

"I'm going to leave." I say. Techno nods.

"I'll take you far away from here on my horse. I'll help you get settled, then I will leave. Are you okay with that?" He asks. I nod.

"Let's do it." I say. We both get up and begin our plan. I was going to leave a note for Dream, that way he will know I'm still alive. It will be a goodbye note. I grabbed a book and quill from one of Techno's chests and began writing.

Dear Dream,

I'm sorry it had to be this way, but I must leave this place. Things have gotten too hard for me. I can't stand being around here anymore. I can't face Tommy. I'm going to a far away place, and I'm not sure where yet. If you're reading this, it probably means you have made it out of prison with Techno's help. I asked him to give this to you. He wont tell you where I am. Only he will know. If you need to send me a letter, give it to him and he will bring it to me. Please dont do anything stupid while I'm gone. I'm not sure when or if I'm coming back, but for now I'm gone. Goodbye my love.

I closed the book gently, a tear dripping down my cheek. Was this a good idea? I met Techno outside. He handed me bag filled with food and supplies. He jumped up on Carl and helped me up as well. It was getting dark now. We took off into the evening.

The ride was long. By the time we made it to the location, it was about the middle of the day the next day. The area was large. It was filled with trees. We found an abandoned village, so I took residence there. I was planning on rebuilding  it and building a house nearby. I decided it was the best place to be for the next year or so. 

Techno helped me set some things up before leaving. He gave me a few stacks of stone and wood to get started. Once he was gone, I already felt a bit lonely. I had to get used to that, as it probably wouldn't go away for a while.

I laid quietly in my bed inside of one of the houses that I fixed up before settling in to sleep. The light from a torch outside flowed in through one of the windows. I ended up crying again, and as I did I drifted off to sleep. This is how my life would be for the next year.
