~Prologue~

As everything must come to and end, it must also come to a slow but abrupt beginning. Ever since our world was created life has been present on earth for over 3 and a half billion years, and yet the first specks of life were so tiny, more or less microscopic. However, this story is just about what seems to be a normal human family living a normal life, a happy married couple and their three children, ranging from the ages of 7 to 14.

Every human body has a soul, and those souls are carried until it finds the best fit. No matter how long it may be drifting around it will find it's perfect match sooner or later, and as soon as it's perfect fit dies, fate decides the best route along the afterlife. Fate is the cause for all of existence, there's no true answer as to why everything happens, there's no true answer as to how this universe first came to be. All that is known is that whether we are destined to become rich and famous or extremely talented and influential, or even a proud asset to this earth; it is up to fate to decide what is best for us and what is not. That's how it is, there's no questioning fate.

But this story starts from the very beginning, the start of a new and exciting life for Taylor and Felix Maeve. Their new child had been born not too long ago, and they were both very happy indeed.

Felix's POV

"It's only been a day since she was born, and I'm already loving her" I exclaimed looking down at my newborn daughter.
She was currently sleeping soundly, it's a break from all the crying she's been doing since she was born.
"Come to think of it, we never got around to choosing a solid name for her" Taylor muttered slowly sitting up, her head slightly leaning down and her eyes half open from lack of sleep. I couldn't help smiling more, despite being in pain and feeling exhausted, Taylor still brought up the the energy to sit up properly to have a proper conversation with me. It's sweet, she's always been strong like this, you've got to love her for it.

Suddenly an idea popped up into my head, as well as a very important but joyful memory. It was about our first date together, we had a picnic under a willow tree on a bright spring day. The memory had something to it that made it seem even more beautiful and joyful, but I just couldn't quite figure out what it was.
"What about Willow, Willow Maeve, like the willow tree on our first date?" I proposed, looking down at the baby. Taylor looked up for a few seconds and was silent, she then turned to face me and slightly held out her arms to take the baby. I slowly and gently placed her into Taylor's arms and sat back on my chair, which was not too comfortable to be sat in for hours and hours on end. Taylor then began to gently rock the baby and she looked down smiling.
"How does Willow sound?" Taylor softly asked to the baby whilst smiling weakly but warmly. The baby then made a quiet but slight noise as if to say she likes the name. Me and Taylor looked at each other and smiled, it was perfect.
"Ok then, Willow Maeve it is!" I declare moving to the edge of my chair to put two hands gently onto Willow's cheek. She was so warm and soft to the touch, I just wanted to cuddle her forever.

I sank back into the chair and relaxed myself and thought about the new life that we have ahead of us. It would just be me, Taylor and our new baby girl Willow. Everything is going to turn out perfect, we're going to have the perfect life.

/ Later that night /
No one's POV

As the day sunk into dusk, and dusk sunk into the night, the new family slept on. All was peaceful within the dull hospital room, all that could be heard were the quiet beeps from the heart monitor hooked up to Taylor and the gentle breaths from all three. Willow had been placed in a small but contemporary crib at the side of the bed, on the other side of her was Felix, and in front of the two was Taylor, who clutched the bed sheets as she slept. A nurse had quietly come into room just over an hour ago to check on Willow but most importantly Taylor, who hadn't moved a muscle since she first fell asleep that late evening.

Despite the extremely quiet movements of the nurse, Felix coincidentally ended up waking up anyway. The presence of the nurse made him jump slightly, but he rubbed it off and proceeded to ask about how his daughter and wife were doing. The nurse informed Felix that they were just fine and that they should be cleared to leave the following afternoon. Felix thanked the nurse as she left and again closed his eyes to catch all the sleep that he could before the upcoming morning. He sunk into a peaceful slumber and slept on.

All attention was turned away from Willow that night, which made way for something very special but troublesome.
