Strapped to a Hospital Bed.

Dutch.

 After I walked out of the library, I spent the rest of the day in my room.

I was reading a book when Anna walked in and sighed, "Hey." 

I looked up at her and smiled, "Hi."

 She sat down next to me, "I talked to Chase this morning."

 I clicked my tongue, "And?"

 Anna nodded, "And he's sticking with his lie."

 I shook my head, "Not if I have anything to say." I stood up and walked out of my room. 

Anna chased after me down the hallways, "D! Dutchlynn, what are you going to do?" 

I scoffed, "He thinks that he can just lie and get away with it? Put my life at risk? No. Hell no. I'm going to do whatever the fuck I want to do."

 Once we reached Chase's room, I banged on the door repeatedly. 

He answered the door within seconds, "Hey-" 

I shoved past him and saw Maddox sitting on the bed, "Get out." Maddox nodded and walked out with Anna.

 Chase closed the door and turned to face me, "You look better."

 I widened my eyes, "Better? I almost drowned Chase!" 

He nodded, "Yeah, I know that."

 I shook my head, "No the fuck you don't, shut the fuck up. You don't know anything."

 Chase sighed, "I do Dutchlynn-"

 I pointed my finger in front of his face, "Don't call me that! God, do you know how crazy I looked when I woke up strapped to a hospital bed and everyone thought I tried to kill myself? Do you know how stupid I looked when I woke up and asked for you but they said you didn't want to see me? Everyone told me that you said you found me! You fucking didn't. You lied." 

Chase shook his head, "I didn't lie, I-"

 I interrupted him, "You did fucking lie. Don't sit here and tell me you didn't lie. I was there! And according to your little story, you weren't." 

Chase scoffed, "W-what do you want from me, D?" 

I crossed my arms, "I want you to tell everyone the truth." 

He shook his head, "I can't do that."

 I rolled my eyes, "And why not?"

 Chase sucked his teeth, "I just can't, alright Dutch?"

 I squinted my face, "No. Fuck no. I will not accept that as an answer. You almost killed me Chase! I need something better than 'I just can't' asshole!" 

Chase turned to me with his eyes wide, "Because I'm crazy!" 

I narrowed my eyes, "Don't we know it. Chase, I'm supposed to be your friend." 

Chase sighed, "I don't want to be friends with someone like you." 

I nodded with my eyes wide, "So that's how it is? I'm telling you right now, you have until dinner to tell them what really happened. Or I'm gonna fuck your shit up." 

Chase turned around, "Get out."

 I nodded, "You're gonna die friendless and alone. Pathetic. I scoffed and turned around, walking out of the room.

 Maddox and Anna were waiting for me outside. 

Anna sighed, "What happened?"

 I kept speed walking down the hallways, "The man's a liar and a coward."
