Mabel gripped Dipper's hand. Her other hand turned into a pale fist, and the rest of her muscles tensed. Dipper, on the other hand, froze completely.
"Mabel, this is a different dimension. With different people."
"I still don't trust anyone by those names." Dipper couldn't say no to that.
Just moments later, two children came out the door, a girl and a boy. The boy was short and white-haired, and wore the same exact vest and hat as Dipper. The girl was tall and strong, the long blond hair pulled back with a ribbon. She wore a bright neon jacket with puppies on it over a Black Widow T-Shirt.
"They're back." Dipper heard her mutter. Despite how strong she looked, her voice was tiny and feminine, just like Pacifica's. The short boy stood on the tips of his toes, trying to whisper something to her, but was too short, so she bent down to make it easier. She nodded and turned her attention toward the twins.
"What do you want with us, Gleefuls? We already foiled your plans! Are you back for more dirt in your faces?" She cracked her knuckles.
Dipper swallowed, but before he could explain, Mabel threw her hands up in the air and yelled. " NO QUESTIONS!!! I've read enough fanfiction to know that if we keep interrogating each other, we'll get nowhere! Dipper and I will go first, understand? We're not from this dimension. We came through a mirror. We didn't know what was here, and we're sorry for interrupting your somewhat peaceful lifestyle. We're not evil, and it was my fault for coming here. We'll go back now." Mabel grabbed her brother's hand and turned around.
The blond girl's fists dropped. "Oh, that mirror. We saw it earlier. If you're not lying, you can come on in."
"What are you thinking Paz? We can't let the Gleefuls in just like that!" The short boy hissed through his teeth.
"It's fine Gid-Pig. Mabel's has freaking braces. Our Mabel would never do that."
"Fiiinne."
The blond girl smiled brightly and them and gestured for them to come in. "My name is Pacifica! Nice to meet you. That mirror must lead to an alternate dimension. You guys must be Mabel and Dipper. Oh, and this little guy is my brother Gideon."
"Don't call me little!"
"Don't mind him. He's too short to really bother you."
Mabel and Dipper walked into the alternate version of the Mystery Shack. It looked more cheerful than enigmatic, but Dipper guessed that might have been the work of Pacifica. "So... You guys are the Pines, right? Us too. Weird." Dipper ventured.
"Oh, he's the Pines. I'm just a Northwest. We're half siblings." Pacifica said with no change of mood.
"Oh. Our Pacifica is a Northwest, too. But I don't think she even knows that Gideon exists."
"Really? What are we like back there, then?"
Mabel butted in to their conversation. "Gideon is evil. So are you."
Dipper pushed her aside. "Mabel..." He hissed. Turning his attention back too Pacifica, he said, "Gideon is love with Mabel and did some pretty creepy things to make her love him, too. You- well, you aren't that bad, really. You're kind of a mean girl to Mabel, but you're really actually pretty nice..."
"Woah. That's creepy. Here, Dipper Gleeful is obsessed with me, and Mabel hates it. Probably 'cuz they've got something going on between them." Dipper's cheeks flushed. " The town mean girl is Candy Chiu, though, and she's never seen without Grenda, who's more like her bodyguard than friend. They both literally work for Mabel Gleeful. Together they form what they call the 'Date Catchers' because everyone always asks them out. But mostly Mabel.
"Candy and Grenda are my friends! They'd never be as mean as you!"
"Go have your own conversation, Mabel!" Dipper pushed her away again. "Sorry.." He apologized to Pacifica.
"I'm never offended." Pacifica said. She opened a big door, into what Dipper recognized as the wax figure room. 'They must sleep here.' He thought.
"Welcome to our room! It's getting late,so you guys can stay the night in here. We can show you around town tomorrow."
"That's great!" Dipper exclaimed. "You sure you won't mind?"
"We don't mind anything." Pacifica said with a positive nod.
----------•_•------------The window creaked open, allowing two dark figures to creep into the attic. They were draped in shades of blue, and headed straight towards an elegant mirror. One ran its slender fingers along its frame and let out a seductive feminine giggle.
"Look, brother. I have an entire world in my hands."
"Now, now, dear sister. Don't count your possessions before you own them." A masculine voice echoed through the room.
"Oh, but think of all the wonders we will have. Worlds for us to play our petty games with."
"Yes, sister. We will have so much fun."
The slender fingers sharply grabbed the mirror and held it in the air.
"Let us leave. Before any little rats find us."
And the figures were gone.
