Chapter 4

To be honest the path to the site was really sketchy. The dirt road was bumpy and what not. When we pulled up we saw the lake and the camping site...to be honest I'm glad it wasn't the beach. A large mountain in the background with a crystal clear lake. And forest surrounding the whole thing. We got out and Armin was bombarded with hugs. I grabbed the tent and set it up. Reiner came to help occasionally but I did it by my self alot.

I grabbed my bag and guitar and put it in the tent.
I sat down in the tent and undid the case. On the ride here I came up with some lyrics.
So I played the chords...' The world was on fire and no one could save me but you...it's strange what desire can make foolish people do.'
I played and sung quietly, for about an hour before Armin came and checked in on me..
"Hey...Eren you good. Oh...." I looked up and he was happy...
"So...you finally decided to finish it."
I looked down at the guitar..."yeah....it feels good to sing again tho...I haven't done that since....Caith."
Armin got sad and looked down." Yeah...she loved your voice...guess that's why you two where perfect together."

I teared up a little..."how's Nat?"
"The last I saw her she was ok at the orphanage...you do know that this year when you turn eighteen officially you have to take her in...you are her God father."
"Armin I don't know if I can face it all again...I know Nat misses me. She is what like 5...What happened to Caith...was because we trusted him." I got up and Armin hugged me.
"We both miss her...but her last wish before she died during childbirth was for you to take care of her."
We walked out of the tent with my guitar strapped to my back. I went to meet up with his friends around the fire they made.
They had a chair that was next to Amrin, on my left was Mikasa.
The smell of campfire was nice...it was a different smell than all of the combined smells of school. And the smell of the store.
"Eren....I didn't know you played."
Reiner was pointing to my guitar.
I looked at him
"Ah....hehh...yeah I guess I do."

"Can you...play something for us..?" Sasha looked at me with pleading eyes...I looked at Armin..."yeah...ok sure" Even though I just sang in the tent...I am not comfortable singing in front of people I just started talking to. I grabbed the guitar and strummed Simple man.

During the first part with no lyrics I looked at Armin and he understood. He started to sing it

People where awestruck at both of us. I looked at Mikasa and she had a face of adoration...but she looked away fast while blushing. "Armin I didn't know you could sing that was amazing..."

He scratched the back of his neck "Heh thanks but I learned from the best..." He looked at me...I nodded " Eren taught me how to sing...he has the best voice ever."

People looked at me. "Eren can you sing us a song please...if what Armin said is true than you must have the voice of an angel!"
Historia was flailing her arms.
" thanks but no...I don't sing anymore...for a good reason."
For some reason they didn't stop asking me...especially Horse face.
Armin tried to get them to stop and so was Mikasa...but
"Everybody shut the fuck up! SEE ARMIN THIS IS WHY I DON'T TALK TO PEOPLE ANYMORE THEY TRY PRY AT THINGS THAT ARENT FOR THEM TO KNOW ABOUT! THEY ARE JUST LIKE STEVEN THEY CANT BE TRUSTED."
At that I walked away to the dock with my trusty razor..

I was honestly in shock...I get Eren has trauma with What Steven did to Caith...but I didn't think he would scream at me....
"Ar...Armin, it's not our place but who is Caith."
I looked at Sasha with a sad expression. "She is...Erens Ex." I saw everybody nod. I sat down on the chair, it was silent around the fire. I knew what he was doing so I don't want to bother him...the only thing is I didn't know somebody was missing.
