Charlotte's POV
As I pushed open the heavy swing door, eager to get away from the cold winter wind, a tall boy around my age came hurrying towards me. He knoked into me, scattering my books all over the floor.
"I'm so sor-"
I looked into his eyes. Where had I seen them before?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked down the corridor laughing. All my freinds were around me and we were giggling about something. As I flipped my dyed blonde hair, I caught the attention of almost every boy in the school. I loved being popular, having everyone wanting to be freinds with me. I glanced around the long hall, looking at all the boys. Tall, short, spotty, hot, they were all looking. A couple of faces caught my attention; one thin with brown hair gelled carefully into spikes, his name Eric? Another had the most brilliant green eyes, but his personality was not my type, to nerdy and interested in the wrong things. I think his name was Harry.
I gasped.
"You're Harry, right? The boy who was in class 1?"
He seemed to stunned by my apperance to hear what I had said. Uncofortable, I picked up my books and quietly tip-toed past him. I walked up to the desk and softly said:
"I'm Charlotte Maws, and I'm here for my job interveiw."
She nodded and past over a form and ink pen. I flipped off the cap, filling in the sheet with the scratchy pen.
"What on earth happened to you?" an incredulous voice asked from behind me. I spun around, seeing Harry standing there, a hand clasped embarresedly over his mouth.
"I had a baby, Harry," I whispered, my voice barely audible. His eyes grew so large they almost popped out of his head and he stood there speechless for a fraction of a second, before shooting out of the school. I sighed. I always had that effect on people, whenever the word "baby" was mentioned.
"Could you please step in here for your interveiw," Mr Sumner asked, leading me to a desk.
"You have the job!" the teacher informed me,
"Thank you...!" I said tiredly, trying to sound enthusiastic. I was always like that now. I was so tired since I'd had my child, living as a single parent, that I hadn't kept in touch with anyone when they moved to college. I now had no social life and never had fun, so the only thing keeping me sane was my beautiful daughter, Bella. I loved her so much, that I could barley leave her with my mum whilst I went for the interveiw. But that was the reason you were doing this, I reminded myself as I truged towards the car. You need the money so you can be more independent, rather relying on the money from your parents to help support Bella.
I drove home slowly, contemplating Harry. I know I had known him from high school, but I was sure I had seen him somewhere else more recenty. Deciding I must be going crazy, I pulled into the tiny space for my car. Bella and I lived in tiny, dirty rented buglow. I hated it, but I didn't have enough money for us to move out.
"Mum! Bella! I'm home!" I also had to act cheerful for my mum or else she would be very worried.
"I have to go straight away, love," She answered apologetically.
"That's ok," I replied, accutually relieved I didn't have to keep up this act of being cheerful. It was so hard, even for five minutes.
She carefully handed Bella over to me, put a quick kiss on my cheek, and hurried through the dirty door into the freezing swirl of rain and sleet.
"Hellooo my lovely little Belly! Mummy's missed you! Aren't you a ickle bit sleepy, my Belly Bells?" I cooed. It was almost imposible not to treat her like this. She made my horrible day so much nicer, and she was the one who kept me going through all the pain of being alone. She had carramell hair, slightly wavy, which framed her beautiful baby face. It was quite long for a baby of 6 months. Her mouth and nose were cute and snub, but it was her eyes that stood out the most. They were huge and round, so innocent. Surrounded by thick, long eyelashes, they were the most brilliant colour of deep, chocolate brown.
"Come on baby, lets get you to bed."
After reading Bella her story, I trudged into my teeny room. I stood infront of my aincent, cracked full length mirror, looking at my apperance. I was now so thin, having lost my curves after having Bella. My once dyed hair was now a thin and wispy brown, so feeble I could only pull it into a messy bun. My face was so pale as I never had enough time to apply even the smallest amount of make up. The same went for my clothes. At the back of my wardrobe, I had a couple of nice outfits, but I had such a small amount of time. Nowadays, I usually threw on any old pair of jogging bottoms and cotton top I could find. I new if I tried, I could make people look at me again, but I had had so much lack of sleep, and I didn't have anyone to look nice for, that I never bothered.
I was so tired of feeling sorry for myself. Since bumping into Hary, I had realised that I had changed so much since he last saw me. I fingured my phone in my pocket, debating whether I should call my mum to come and look after bells so I could go to a club. I thought baout it for about 10 minutes, before deciding it would be to much of a hassle. Sighing, I slunk through to the miniscule living room and switched on the aincent TV. It was an interveiw with some boy band; One Direction. These bands never caught my attention anymore. It was then it dawned on me I knew nothing about the news anymore. Reaching for the remote, something on the interveiw caught my attention. A pair of green eyes and thich, curly brown hair.
That was when it hit me; Harry Styles, the nerd from my high school, the boy I had just recently met for the first time in about 2 years, was in a boyband. He was famous!
Hey! I hope you like it! That was the first thing I ever wrote on WattPad! Sorry if there are any mistakes; I'm not very good at spelling and I'm very tired!
