"I don't know who you are...but please don't do this." He called, watching her stand on the ledge.
That's what the whole safety railing was there for.
Yet, Shouto watched as the (H/c) haired woman stand upon it, her arms sticking out from her sides. She looked as free as a bird.
"You don't know me, so why do you care?" She shouted over the strong winds that made her legs feel unstable when she knew they were planted firmly onto the ground.
She had a smile on her face, nothing on but a sheer long sleeved summery blouse and a pair of jeans. And many, many, bandages wrapped around each finger.
It was winter.
Todoroki didn't even look twice at her attire, in hindsight he took note but, in front of him was someone who needed to be saved. Regardless of what she was wearing.
"What's your name?" He called back, his two toned hair whipping messily in the wind like a flag.
She'd tell him her name, but only so he could say her name. And maybe have someone remember her after she's gone, in the form of trauma from watching her do this.
"It's (Y/n)."
"Now I know you. So please get down from there." Shouto prayed he was playing his cards right, the panic in his chest rising with each passing second that (Y/n) was on the ledge.
What if I can't talk her off? Was the only thought on his mind along with getting her off.
He could run up to her and grab her off, but she could panic and fall off or even intentionally jump before he can reach her.
"You can't talk me out of this...not even the hotline could," (Y/n) chuckled darkly before wiping her tearing eyes. There was an unshakable pain in her chest. "They just made me wanna do it even more."
"Why?" Shouto mustered out, nearly shocking himself in the process.
(Y/n) looked over her shoulder at her attempting knight in shining armor.
"Why do you want to die, (Y/n)?" He pleaded. Normally he isn't the type to emit this sort of emotions or be caught in this situation but, he really didn't know what to do.
