A few days later Josephine woke up to Sirius handing her a beautiful black dress.

"It will look great on you Siri, don't worry." she mumbled groggily, and she heard Regulus laugh from the other side of the room making herself smirk into her pillow.

"Told you I should have given it to her." The younger Black brother said teasingly.

"Shut up. It's for you Joey."

"Why are you giving me a dress?" she asked, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"Oh fuck. I forgot to tell you."

"I'm never letting you take on responsibility ever again." Regulus sighed, "In a few hours we'll have some people over."

Joey sighed. She was used to Sirius informing her about things last minute, as things always seemed to get lost in his brain. But this was different. She was supposed to put on an act of being someone's fiancée.

"Narcissa will be there." Regulus offered as if he had read her mind, "and you," he looked at Sirius, "give her the dress and now out of my room."

Sirius scoffed, pressing a soft kiss against her forehead before turning on his heel and leaving the room.

"I apologize for my brother's behavior. I shouldn't have trusted him to tell you about the gathering."

She made a dismissive hand gesture as she stood up, steadying herself against the nightstand.

"Will you be ready in time?"

"You really think I need that much makeup?"

"No, uh, I mean," and then the greatest thing ever happened to Joey. She saw the always oh so greatly composed Regulus Black blush.

She smirked, winking at him playfully with her newfound confidence before disappearing into the bathroom to get herself ready.

Her Make-up was dark and Heavy, fitting the theme of the Black dress.

She walked out of the bathroom, almost running into Regulus, who stared at her, eyes wide, lips parted.

"Does it look alright?" she asked, suddenly nervous, thinking about all the people who would judge her as Regulus' new wife.

"You look beautiful." she felt her cheeks growing hot, not expecting such a genuine compliment from the boy.

"This is our first event as a couple, we need to seem believable." Regulus said, buttoning up his jacket.

"Doesn't everybody know that-"

"No, they don't, and even if they do we still need to seem in love, my parents want a clear loving pureblood wedding." Joey took a few steps back as Regulus' authoritarian tone reminded her as to why she was so scared of him in the first place. "Hey," his face softened immediately seeing the girl's shaky demeanor, "I just wanted you to be prepared if-" he paused as if he was weighing what he wanted to say, "when I kiss you or something."
