The story takes place 5 years after the original show, in this AU, Gumball disappears for some reason without a clue, and now it's up to Penny to try to find out where Gumball is and if he's still alive, all the other citizens of Elmore know is that...
[School ends and Penny is on her way to the Wattersons' house]
[She really wants to apologize for not being supportive and not even visiting Gumball's family, Gumball would definitely want her to be there to support them, and that's what she will do!]
[Penny then arrives in front of the Wattersons' house, takes a deep breath and knocks on the door]
[A few seconds pass and no one responds. Penny starts to get a little worried]
Penny: Uh...hello? Anybody home? [Knocks on the door again]
[Penny then feels an earthquake, which makes her a little confused]
Penny: A-An earthquake?!
[And then a big gap opens at the Wattersons door, also known as the gap to the void]
Penny: What-
[Penny is then pulled by the void but holds on and tries to get away but can't]
Penny: But what is this thing?! I-I can't take one more step! Is this a black hole or something? And why is there a black hole in the Wattersons house? How crazy!
[A mysterious figure appears and pulls the Penny across the fence]
Penny: Huh? W-Who are-
???: NO TIME! FOLLOW ME!
[Penny then takes one last look back and sees the whole house being sucked into the Void, she gets scared and runs after the mysterious figure]
Penny: [As she runs from the void, Penny realizes the Void is swallowing everything towards them] W-WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE THIS THING IS BEHIND US???
???: I'LL EXPLAIN EVERYTHING WHEN WE GET OUT OF HERE ALIVE! THIS WAY! [Holds the Penny's hand, they jump and fall into some kind of hole in the ground]
Penny: AAAH!! [She falls down and gets a little dizzy] W-Where are we...?
??? [Locks the place] It's my underground lair, here the void can't reach us because we wouldn't pose any problem or error to the world here...
Penny: L-Lair? Void?! Problem for the world?! What you mean?
[The mysterious figure lowers his hood]
Penny: R-Rob?!
