The Quick Connection || Why Don't We Zach's Pov cont.

 I tap and grab Jack.

"Jack, Jack do you hear that?"

"No, what" he says confused.

"Listen" i said

As he listens his eyes widen. He walks over to the man who was letting the fans through.

"We need to stop for a second" he told the man.

The rest of the band heard him and looked confused.

"What, why?" Daniel asked.

Jack stepped over to fans who where next in line.

"I'm so sorry but we are going to have to stop for a second." he holds his finger to lips and tells them to be quiet.

He walks over to the rest of the band. 

"Listen" he says to all of them.

"Listen to what?" Jonah asked.

"Just listen"

They listen. They all look at each other and their eyes widen when they hear it. 

"Wow, who is that singing?" Corbyn asks quietly astonished.

"Look" I say pointing to the girl.

She is almost at the chorus, the big part of the song. She is so into it that she hasn't noticed that it has gone a little quiet.

"Jack, Jack" I whisper.

"What"

"You should go sing with her."

We were all just standing, listening deeply.

"Maybe we should all go sing with her, but not yet." Jack says.

We all agree.

She finally hits the chorus. We are so captivated and blown away with emotion.

"Tears and slammin doors

 fallin down on the floor

 beggin--"

Her voice cracks. I look up and see two tears glistening in the light as they roll down her beautiful face.

I am heartbroken.

"Guy's she is crying" I say pained.

We all look at her. 

She keeps going.

"Now" Jack said, "But me first b/c this is my part." We agree. 

We walk over putting our fingers to our lips to the fans.

Jack joins in.

"You don't want me no more..."

She doesn't even notice. Her eyes are still closed. By this time all the fans are filming.

She is hitting the high notes effortlessly and with so emotion.

She now gets to Daniel's part. He is so wrapped up in her voice that he forgets to start singing with her.

"I'm so so sorry

 I know that's not enough 

 but it's true, it's true."

Suddenly I felt something warm on my face. I touch my face. It's wet. I'm crying. 

I look at Jonah, Corbyn and Jack. They are also crying.

She gets to the pre-chorus again. That's my part. 

I step up to her but not too close that she can feel my presence with her.

Okay don't screw this up. I start singing with her.

"You

 You been there through it all..."

She kinda gets startled. She doesn't open her eyes but she smiles a little. She doesn't stop singing.

We get to the chorus and the band joins in.

At the end of the song, she doesn't open her eyes.

The band doesn't say anything, but we motion the fans to stay quiet.

"Jordan, be honest with me okay?" she says to the other girl.

"Yeah, Alice" Jordan said.

 "Was that good?" Alice asks.

"Yes honey that was amazing." Jordan says.

 "Jordan, I'm getting a little dizzy" She says.

"Alice, did you eat anything before we came?" Jordan asks worried.

"I haven't eaten anything..." she pauses.

"Anything?" Jordan asks quickly.

"In 3 days" Alice quietly continues.

Jordan, Jonah, Corbyn, Daniel, Jack and I all look at each other.

"Oh Alice, why honey?" Jordan gasps.

"You know how people get to me. And today, I was just so nervous." she says, her eyes still closed.

"I thought we had gotten past this." Jordan goes.

She then opens her eyes. Not noticing us or the fans. She is looking at Jordan.

"I know" she says. 

Jordan quickly glances at me.

Alice seems to slowly snap out of her world.

She is slightly swaying.

She notices the fans all recording and looking at her.

"Jordan, What are they all looking at?" She asks getting anxious.

"You babe" She says, "They heard you singing."

Alice's breathing picks up quickly.

Jack and I look at each other knowing what is about to happen.

Jordan looks at me again.

Alice seems to notice her looking over her shoulder. 

She turns around slowly trying to keep her balance and her breathing steady.

She see us. She is speechless. She looks at Jack. Then she looks straight at me.

She sucks in a breath, staring deeply into my soul. She sways to the left then back to the right. 

Then she falls. I was still taken back my her deep brown eyes that I did not know what to do.

Luckily, Jack knew what was about to happen, so he rushed up and caught her.

Jordan and I and the rest of the band rush up to her. 

"Oh my god Alice" Jordan gasps.

I look down at her. She is unconscious. Jack picks her up and hands her to me. 

Oh my god, she is light as a feather. 

Then I remember all of the fans. 

"Guys we are going to have to postpone this meet and greet til tomorrow." I tell the bandmates quietly.

They all agree.

"GUYS LISTEN!" Jonah announced. "We are going to have to postpone this meet and greet til tomorrow. We need to make sure she is okay."

"Jordan, come with us" I told her. 

She nodded. 

We all walk backstage.
