Meet and Greet || Why Don't We

Convo with Daniel

We don't say anything to guys. We take the first fan. She gets to Jonah then Corbyn and Daniel then me then Zach. While she is with Zach, I hear Daniel whisper "Jack". But he was already taking a photo with a fan. I snapped one with her too.

"What?" I whisper back to Daniel.

"Can I ask you something? And you have to answer honestly. And don't say what you would say to a fan. This is me you're talking to, Daniel. One of your bestfriends okay?" He says seriously.

Fan, picture, then back to Daniel. (this is going to be a recurring thing, but I'm not going to say it anymore. just know that is it happening)

"Um...okay" I whisper.

"Is Jachary real?" he asks.

I laugh and look at him. He has a straight face.

"Oh wait, your actually serious?" I say/ask.

He nods.

"Okay, in all seriousness, no. Jachary is not real. We are just really close. He has helped me through a lot, as you can tell by earlier."

He nod. I continue.

"As for what just happened, that is true. I told Zach to get on my back b/c I wanted to give the fans some Jachary content. As for what happened after that, I took it a step further with the argument and the hug. He saw that as a challenge and took it even further. I thought he was going to kiss me for a moment. I got scared but he didn't."

We glance over at Zach and he is kinda zoned out.

I take a minute and actually look at him. He has bags under his eyes, he looks exhausted, like he hasn't slept in days. He has two different colored shoes on but he pulls it off as if he intended to do that. I was so caught up with myself that I didn't notice that Zach was not okay. I turn back to Daniel who was taking a picture. I wait.

"Is Zach okay?" I ask him when he is done. "He looks exhausted, like he hasn't slept in days."

He looks at Zach, who is now zoned out again, while I take a picture.

"Idk. He really missed you a lot. But I didn't think it was that bad. I should've guessed it this morning when I saw how happy he was when you are around again. That's why I thought Jachary was real because when he saw you this morning, his eyes lit up."

I look at Zach. I see his eyes widen. I look away quickly. But then he is next to me tapping and grabbing me.

"Jack, Jack" He says astounded. "Do you hear that?"

"No, what?" I asked confused.

"Listen" he says.

I listen.

Then I hear it.

Her.

Her voice is beautiful. 

She is singing Grey, the hardest song.

My eyes widen.
