i love you so much that i've gotta let you go, it couldn't last forever, and i hope you find better

_____________

the hallway seemed to go on forever as you tried to catch up to monoma.

finally, you managed to appear beside him, and you pulled on his jacket sleeve, "what the hell? why are you outside my room?"

the confrontation halted, as monoma stopped firmly in his steps. you were a few feet away from the stairs, in front of one of girl's dorm's door. your expression was angry, and your body language was easy enough for neito to understand.

his blue eyes were mixed with sadness and anger, "why the hell is bakugou in your bed?" his voice cracked with betrayal.

"and why is that any of your business?" you bluntly replied, scoffing and folding your arms over your chest.

"because-" he began, but slowly realized his loss for words. his arms dropped to his sides.

you rolled your eyes, "exactly. you broke up with me, remember? so, why do you care?"

monoma mumbled a "tch" and continued downstairs into the common area.

"monoma!" you yelled, resuming your chase after him. you quickly arrived to the common room, but it was too late.

he disappeared into a group of people, your vision of him lost.

"y/n!" mina shrieked, throwing her arm around your neck. she was happy to see you.

'ah shit,' you thought to yourself, 'she spotted me.'

in all the trouble with monoma, you didn't realize that you wondered down to the party midoriya was having, and everyone now knew you were there.

a hand grabbed your wrist and gently pulled you away from mina, "are you ok?" the red-haired boy asked, his hair starting to fall down a bit. you bowed you head, fear of letting your tears show.

"let's go to the kitchen." kirishima suggested, leading the two of you to the quietest place of the party.

he slid on the countertop, prompting you to lean on the cabinet in front of him. "so, what's happening?"

you softly smile at his worry. a cool breeze indicates todoroki's arrival as he joins kirishima next to the counter.

"it's nothing guys, but thanks for caring." you trying to brush off. kirishima was not having it though, "don't say that. your face does not match that sentence. so, go on, start over."

sighing, your demeanor shifted to a more relaxed one. you started, "alright, you two can't tell anyone, got it?" they nodded. "recently, bakugou and i have changed our friendship into something more."
