Expect The Unexpected

"When I find that son of a bitch I'm going to rip him limb from limb." Bobbi said while gearing up.

"Count me in." May said while doing the same.

"I think we can all agree we would like to do that, but you have orders." Coulson said.

Everyone looked back at him.

"And your orders are to shoot and kill."

Ward punched me for what felt like the millionth time.

"TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW!"

"I rather bleed out and die." I sneered barley being able to speak with blood running down my face.

I spit out blood. The knife sticking out of my abdomen was the only thing keeping me from losing the little blood I had left.

I tried my best to stay awake. My head hurt from the tears spilling from my eyes. Blood dripped all over my body. I was so used to the pain that it didn't even hurt anymore.

I coughed up blood again.

"I won't be like you...I won't betray all my friends..."

Every time he did something I was sure there wouldn't be anymore places to stab, shoot, or cut me, but there always was.

The team ran through the building. Defeating Hydra guards and searching everywhere.

May heard screaming from a hallway.

She ran towards the voice and found a locked door.

She wasn't going to let another little girl die. Not this time.

With all the power May had, she kicked down the door and entered the room.

Ward couldn't hear what was happening outside but I could.

He cut me again and I took the chance to scream. Scream as loud as I possibly could.

"Nobody can hear you. Nobody is coming for you. Nobody cares about YOU!" Ward yelled.

Everything else happened in slow motion.

There was banging on the door and it broke open. I saw May run in and shoot Ward twice in the stomach.

Even more tears ran down my face. Except this time they were tears of relief.

I heard May say something on coms while unchaining me. As soon as I was free I fell into her arms.

"Hey May" I whispered and smiled.

"Y/n I need you to try and stay awake for a little while ok?"

I cracked a slight smile at how her voice sounded but nodded at what she was saying.

My vision was blurry and my hearing was fuzzy, but I saw the others start to run into the room.

I watched Yo-yo stop in the back where Ward was laying, half dead. I was picked up and put on a stretcher by Simmons.

Just as I was being rolled out of the room two gunshots were fired. Right into Ward's head.

Things happened in sections. It seemed like I was falling asleep and waking up again. First I remember seeing and feeling outside, then being rolled into the Zephyr, then May holding my hand telling me everything would be ok.

Then darkness.

TW END||Back at the base:
"The stab wound caused her to lose a lot of blood but it's not too serious. Thankfully, the other injuries aren't very serious either and just need time to heal."

Simmons took a deep breath before saying the last part.

"The amount of blows she took to the head have unfortunately caused brain damage. Right now it seems like she may be in a coma for a few days and-" Tears were forming in her eyes.
