A boy, Roxas, was awaken and sees a girl, Kirihax, holding out her hand.
"You okay?" Kirihax asked.
Roxas grabbed Kirihax's hand and stands up. "Yeah."
Just as Roxas and Kirihax were to know who they were, a man in a black coat appeared and waked up to them. "You two seek answers." He makes the words SORA and HIKARI appear. "You two feel nothing. Nothing is real. I can give you two purposes." He made the words spin and places two Xs on them.

Roxas reads his name. "Roxas."
Kirihax reads her name as well. "Kirihax."
The man in the black coat smiled. "That is right—the new you."
—Day 7—
After being recruited into a group of black coats called Organization XIII, Roxas and Kirihax were not getting used to the Organization at first. But when they befriended a red haired man named Axel, their lives soon changed.
In their room of the Castle that Never Was, Roxas was laying in bed, thinking about his new life and Kirihax wrote in her diary about her new life with Roxas, Axel and Organization XIII until one of the members, Saïx, arrived to see them.
"Can I help you, mister?" Kirihax asked Saïx.
"That's Saïx," Saïx said. "Anyways... Today's is an important meeting. I expect everyone to be on time so no sleeping during the meetings. And that means you, Kirihax. You wouldn't want to anger Lord Xemnas, would you?"
Kirihax watched as Saïx leave and scoffed. "Whatever." Then she turned to Roxas. "Let's go see how Axel is doing. Then... we can go to this meeting."
The two arrived at the Grey Area to meet up with Axel.
"Heya, Roxas, Kirihax," Axel greeted. He knew that Roxas and Kirihax are quiet. "Something I can help you with there, chatterboxes?" Then he remembered something. "Ah, I remember now. We were supposed to convene in the Round Room today. Blegh, meetings..."
"Round...Room...?" Roxas and Kirihax asked curiously.
"Yup," Axel nodded. "Apparently the boss man's got some big news. Wanna head over there now?"
"Sure," Kirihax nodded.
"Okay," Roxas nodded.
"Alrighty then," Axel said. "Follow me."
Soon... Roxas, Kirihax and the fellow members of Organization XIII were gathered in the Round Room... also known as... Where Nothing Gathers.

Their leader, Xemnas, spoke to them. "Good tidings, friends. Today is a momentous day. I am pleased to announce that a new comrade has been chosen to wear the coat. Number XIV."
Roxas and Kirihax looked down and saw a girl wearing a black coat and a hood waking up. They remembered when they were brought to the Organization.
Flashback...
"Let us all welcome one of the Keyblade's chosen and the princess of Kingdom Hearts," Xemnas said as Axel brought Roxas and Kirihax in.
End of flashback...
Roxas and Kirihax gasped as No. XIV looked at them. Soon after the meeting was over, Roxas and Kirihax went back to the room and recalled the time when Xemnas recruited them.
"For the seven days since our arrivals—" Kirihax wrote on her diary. "the names Roxas and Kirihax, and the number thirteen and thirteen extra were all we had. Who the people around us were, what they wanted, or what they were trying to do, I had no idea..."
Roxas yawns. "Time to get some shut eye because tomorrow we're gonna start our first mission."
"Oh yeah," Kirihax said. "Saïx said we're going with Axel. Axel sure is a nice guy since we got to know him back at Twilight Town."
