(A/N It's been a while since I had inspiration so please forgive me. I just lost everything I had for their first year and forgot what I wanted for the second year. I had it written down but my 6 month old boxer/ husky mix shredded the notebook I wrote it in. So now all of my planned chapters have gone out the window. Please excuse the time skip, I couldn't think of anything else. At this point, both Katsuki and Sora are now 18, Sora's birthday is in March. Thanks for waiting!)
Before Sora knew it, her first date with Katsuki had passed. And then another. And then another. A year had flown by, then a second. Before she knew it, it was third year, both of them finally having built a reputation early in their school career during their internships. Their work studies had further boosted their reputations. Pro heroes were currently watching the top 5 in the class, those being Katsuki, Todoroki, Kirishima, Deku and Sora. Kaminari ranked 7th and Tokoyami 6th. Uraraka was in 8th and it went down from there.
To say that Aizawa was proud was an understatement. As third year started, things really began to pick up. Everything was even more intense, training, orders, even their missions that we went on with the heroes they decided to do their work studies with. Shoto, Katsuki and Sora had chosen Endeavor, despite everything that he put Shoto through. And in the time that had passed, Sora had become best friends with Mina, Kirishima and Shoto. They were her source of support despite the fact that they were now competing for the top spot. Aizawa had never imagined that Sora, who was usually introverted would have made such amazing friends.
This was their first day back at the dorms after having a break between the school years changing. Bringing in a box of items for her dorm room, she heads up the stairs, dodging as Yaoyorozu barrels past her with something in her arms. "Sorry!" Yaoyorozu calls, hiding whatever it was from sight.
"No... Worries?" Sora calls as the stairs empties. It was like Yaomomo hadn't even been there seconds before. Continuing up the stairs, Sora reaches the common room, only to find that it was empty, no sight of anyone. She swore there were people here before her. Shrugging, she makes her way to her room.
Fiddling with the door to unlock it, she notes that it is already unlocked and frowns. "Hmm.." she breathes, opening the door to be met with a warm, pitch black room. Flicking on the lights, a chorus of "Surprise!" goes up around the room. Jerking, Sora nearly drops the box she's holding, being assisted in catching it by Iida, who happens to be right in front of her. He hands her the box with a smile, his eyes earnest.
"You alright?" He asks. Sora gives a small nod, not wanting any of them to feel bad. She hadn't expected this.
Her birthday had been a month ago, and they still had a week before their third year began. Yaomomo looks at her guiltily, holding up a box. "We all looked for something for you. We know it's that day again... And we wanted to do something for you like you do for us," She says, holding it out to Sora. Sora blinks, taking the box. She could feel it vibrate a bit, something moving inside. In truth, today was the anniversary of the day she lost her parents ten years ago. This day every year was so hard for her.
A small smile appears on her lips, and she slowly lifts the lid, meeting Katsuki's eyes in the process. He gives an encouraging smile as a white furred head peeps out of the box with a chirp. Looking down, her eyes widen, a tear slipping down her cheek. A tiny little Fennec Fox looks up at her, its light eyes and bright white fur glowing under the light. Her head snaps up and she meets every one of her classmate's eyes as a single tear turns to several, Sora choking back a sob. "Thank you. Thank you all. You're the best," she whispers.
Aizawa enters behind them, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I already cleared it with Nezu. She's all yours. You just have to clean up after her and take her out," he says. Smiling at him, she throws an arm around the man she called her dad.
