Waking up the morning of her first day back, Third year was really starting. Before long, they were going to graduate to become heroes. Things were looking up for Sora. Her long indigo hair had been cut to the middle of her back yesterday by Yaomomo. The style was done by Mina and Sora felt a million times better.
It was a lot lighter and slightly easier to care for. Brushing through her hair was easier than it had been in years. After getting ready, she made her way to the kitchenette. From the looks of several groggy students, they didn't sleep well.
Pouring herself a coffee, Sora sits at the table nearest to the window, watching as the sun was beginning to rise over the horizon. The sherbert orange, cotton candy purple and cherry pink hues cast light on a familiar head of blonde hair as Katsuki came back from his morning run, pacing himself as he slows to enter the building.
The kitchen was on the second floor, and Sora could see the shadow of the door opening from above, smiling as she accepts the breakfast wrap Kirishima hands her. "I know you like these. I made one for Bakubro too," he hums, biting into his own.
A few moments later, Katsuki enters the second floor and grabs a cup of coffee for himself, taking a seat next to Sora when he was done. Kirishima offers him one of the breakfast wraps he made, Katsuki accepting gratefully. "Thanks shitty hair," he calls, taking a bite of his wrap.
Kirishima shrugs. "It's not like you have time to cook, shower and drink coffee. So I cut your time in half," he smiles, grinning as Mina sits and cuddles up into him. Katsuki makes a noncommittal noise, scarfing down his breakfast and downing his coffee.
Immediately after, he stands and heads to his room to grab the supplies needed to shower. Sora smiles and continues to eat her food, sipping on coffee until its gone.
"No complaints for him is rather unusual," she breathes, Kirishima nodding with her.
"I added what felt like have a bottle of hot sauce to his. You know he loves spicy food," Kirishima comments. Oh she knew alright. The first time she tried his food she will never forget. It had her shitting flames like a fire breathing dragon for three days.
Giggling at the memory, Sora turns to Mina. "How do you like your haircut?" Mina asks her, her feet propped on the end of the bench. Sora fluffs her hair slightly. "It's light and bouncy. It feels like you removed 5 pounds of hair." "That's because it WAS 5 pounds of hair. Probably more actually. It was nearly down to your ankles. Imagine you have to crouch so you can sneak and someone steps on it? It was definitely time for a haircut," Mina points out. That was a valid point. And it was the point that had caused her to allow the girls to cut it.
Though she hadn't had more than a trim since she was 8. She had spent the last 9 almost 10 years growing it out. But when she was in a work study last year, it had gotten caught and in the way, as saddening as that was. It had to go. Smiling at Mina, she agrees.
"Thanks to you and Yaomomo, it feels better than before," she agrees, running her hand along the table. "Don't thank me. I was glad to do it. You still have enough to play with though!" Mina drools at the aspect.
Her own hair was kept short as it gets in the way and was too curly to do much with anyways. She had grown it to her shoulders but stopped there, not wanting to spend too much time taking care of it.
The sun was now well along the trees, casting light and shadows everywhere. As she looks out the window, a pair of arms wrap around her, the scent of spicy soap and caramel flooding her senses. "You smell great," she sighs softly, enjoying the tranquility before the chaos to come.
"You're fucking kidding me? I always smell great," he huffs.
Turning with a giggle, she ruffles his still damp hair before grabbing her backpack and placing her dishes in the dishwasher. "Let's get to class," Sora shakes her head, allowing Katsuki to follow behind. The morning was kicking off to a good start, the vibe pleasant and mostly calm. It was still a bit early, the students living in the dorms slowly walking to class.
