You were very grateful Lachlan had offered to come with you to the store, you knew you would be buying more than your small arms could carry. So, the next hour was spent you going through the isles with the ginger and laughing at his silliness. He would keep trying to throw in sweets and you had to keep telling him to put them back. At some point, before you had too many things in the buggy, he had scooped you up and dropped you in the cart. You were decently small so it wasn't too hard to pick you up. After he dropped you in the cart, he proceeded to drop bags of chips on you. You squealed and laughed at his antics, wildly waving your arms. "Stop it you dork!! Help me out," You playfully pouted at him, making grabby hands in his direction.
He smiled at you before lifting you out of the cart. After smacking his arm, he helped you finish getting what you needed. While the two of you were finishing up, you needed the paper towels. The only problem, they were on the top shell. You groaned softly as you jumped in place trying to reach. You heard Lachlan chuckle behind you. You huffed and turned to face him, crossing your arms and pouting. Rolling his eyes he took a step closer and put his hands on your hips. You blushed lightly at the contact as he spun you around and lifted you into the air, high enough to reach the pack of rolls. You giggled as he puts you back on your feet. "Thanks, asshat."
"Oh, but of course princess~" He gave you a goofy bow, his hair falling into his face. He straightened back up giving you a smug look. "Does this mean you'll get me the candy?" He poked your cheek. You swatted at his hand and whined. You thought about it for a moment before sighing. "If I have enough money left after paying for what I need, then yes you can have the sweets."
"YES!" He did a fist bump in the air and you smiled. His childishness almost reminded you of Brahms. You jolted, remembering the four men at home waiting for you to get back. You check the time only to find out you have been here a whole hour. You hadn't meant to be out this long. Explaining to Lachlan that you needed to get homes soon. He understood and knocked off his childish act and helped you get the cart to the check-out line. Luckily, it had been just the two of you in the small store. The older lady checking your stuff smiled at the two of you. Lachlan had forgotten his candy and since you had enough cash left you decided to remind him. While Lachlan ran to get his sweet snack, the old lady chuckled which caught your attention. "I remember when my husband and I were so full of energy and full of love. You have a good boyfriend, honey. It'd be wise to keep him."
Your face became a deep shade of red as your eyes went wide. Your hands were waving in embarrassment. You began stuttering and trying to explain to the older woman the two of you weren't dating. She only gave you this knowing smile. Eventually, Lachlan came running back with the bag of goodies. You quickly paid and left, the old lady chuckling at your still burning face as the boy stuffed the candy into his hoodie pocket. You grabbed half the bags and Lachlan grabbed the other half. He walked you to your house, which wasn't very far. Once you reached the house, you thanked him and took the rest of the bags. He tried to protest, wanting to make sure you didn't hurt yourself. You have him off, said your goodbyes, and went inside.
