Wattpad, I beg you to not delete my hard work.

Tw: VERY SEGGSY. They're locked in an elevator so it's not entirely public if that's what Wattpad is gonna try and cancel me for. Again.

ANYWAYS, if this gets deleted again, I quit.

Nini Salazar-Roberts was already running late when she left her apartment that morning. She wasn't normally late for class, but somehow she'd forgotten to put her phone on the charger and her alarm hadn't gone off. By the time she woke up she figured she was already late so she may as well stay and charge it at least a little bit.

Eventually, she hurried out the door with the clicking of her heeled pumps and ran to the closing elevator doors.

"Hold it!" she called, holding her hand up. The doors sprung open again and the brunette stepped in to see her down right sexy neighbor who couldn't speak any English. She figured he must have seen her running. "Thanks!" She smiled, letting out a huge breath. She figured he'd at least understand that much. He nodded in return and went back to typing on his phone.

Nini watched him out of the corner of her eye. She had only had a couple of interactions with him since he moved into the building two weeks ago. One time she went to greet him and welcome him to the building, but she could hear him yelling on the phone in another language so she quickly ran back to her own apartment, and another time she had accidentally been given his mail and when she went over to give it to him he just nodded and slammed the door. She pretty much avoided him after that.

She'd talked about him with another neighbor, an older lady who lived downstairs, and the woman had told her that the new guy's name was Richard Bowen and that he moved to Salt Lake from Denmark or something (Mrs. Matthews couldn't quite remember) and didn't speak a lick of English, and Nini figured that explained a lot.

Despite her limited interactions with the handsome man, Nini had not failed to notice how good looking he was. Muscular arms, beautifully messy curly brown hair and somehow Nini knew he had a great body since his navy blue v-neck shirt looked tight and fit him perfectly.

Nini glanced at Ricky again. He couldn't speak English, but maybe he could read minds. He was still engrossed in his phone, much to Nini's relief. Mind reading, the girl chuckled to herself. She was such a loser.

At that moment, she felt a jolt and the elevator stopped. At first she thought they'd arrived at their destination but when the doors didn't open she began to worry.

"Shit." she swore. She turned to Ricky but he was already calling someone on his phone. He started speaking in Danish or whatever it was he spoke, Nini couldn't tell. She sighed. He was going to be no help. She tried pressing the emergency button but nothing happened. Then she had a dawning realization as she stared at a notice on the wall of the elevator.

Please do not use the elevator between 9am-11am on Monday July 26th. Maintenance being done.

Nini groaned. She hadn't taken any notice of the poster before because she was normally well out of the house by 8:45. And obviously Ricky hadn't understood the notice because he didn't speak English. Someone should have reminded them, honestly. And why didn't anyone check that there was no one in the elevator before they started this so-called maintenance? Everything in this apartment building was always done so unprofessionally. Maybe that's why it was so cheap.

Nini decided to take a page out of Richard's book and call someone. She dialed Kourtney, since she was supposed to be meeting her best friend after her lecture, and she didn't know how long she'd be stuck in the elevator. Presumably until 11am.
