~Dallas's POV(1 Month Later)~

It's been almost a month since Daryl and I started trying for a family and not much has happened. I woke up today feeling different, I don't know what it was. Whether it was the cool crisp air outside, coming through the bared windows and the bars of my cell, or the love that I felt radiating from the man beside me. I love him, I can honestly say that I love him more than life itself. I don't know what I would do without him. He makes me smile and feel alive when for so long I've felt nothing but despair and sadness. He makes me better, he makes me want to live. I looked at Daryl slowly removing myself from his hold and walking over to my bag. I pulled out my jeans, with my black and white flannel and my leather jacket. I got dressed before sitting on the edge of the bed and pulling on my boots. I went to stand up only to have Daryl grab my wrist and smirk at me.

"Where ya think your goin?"

I smiled sitting next to him, I placed a kiss on his lips before pulling away.

"They need help down on the fence, I figured I would help them clear it, I gotta start helping out more. I mean I went on one hunting trip, and one run since then I haven't done anything. This is how I'm gonna contribute until I can figure out other ways, besides it's better than staying in here with you all day."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yeah."

He smiled and I pushed him back standing up, I watched as he got up and started coming after me. I ran out of the cell and down the stairs only to have him jump from the balcony landing in front of me, I smirked.

"Now that was hot."

"Ya think so?"

I nodded my head giving him another kiss and running ahead only to holler back at him.

"Come see me at the fence when you're ready, we're gonna need all the help we can get today!"

"Why's that?!"

"Walkers are breaking through!"

After our little shouting conversation I ran outside grabbing a crow bar. I started clearing as many walkers as I could. Thankfully I wasn't alone, with Sasha, Rick, Maggie, and Glen helping. We all stood there stabbing walkers as they came forward pushing each other into the fence making it cave. I heard Daryl's cycle start up and watched as Carl opened the gate. Daryl rode through the field attracting the walkers, he rode off and I knew that he would be back. He always comes back for me, just like I will always come back for him. While Daryl was gone we all started repairing the damage to the fence trying to make it last as long as we could. Granted we have a second set, but once that one's gone were pretty much screwed. We decided to use some thick logs to hold them up the best we could for the time being. I looked at Rick and he looked at me with sad hurt eyes. He went to walk away, and I grabbed his wrist, he looked at me.

"What do you want Dallas?"

"How long do you think we have before we have to start looking for a new place?"

"Hopefully never."

"Rick, it's coming and you know it, once that second fence is gone, we're done. So I ask again, how long do you think we have?"

He looked down shaking his head letting out a frustrated sigh before looking back at me.

"Until the fence gives, then we'll do what we have to."

I nodded my head and he walked away, I heard a motorcycle in the distance and smiled as I saw Daryl riding up the driveway. I ran to him and jumped into his arms, placing scattered kisses on his face ending on his lips. He laughed and smirked against my lips before pulling away and looking into my eyes with his bright blue ones.
