~Dallas's POV~
I woke up today and looked outside to see that it was raining. I went over to my pack pulling out my only pair of ripped dark blue skinny jeans, along with my red and black flannel. I pulled it on over my black tank top and pulled on my usual knee high riding boots. When I was dressed I grabbed my pack and walked downstairs to see Daryl waiting for me, I walked over and smiled.
"Hey, you ready to go?"
He nodded his head.
"Yeah, lets go."
We walked out of the prison hopping on his cycle before we started our supply or hunting run. We were riding down the street when we came to a herd of walkers. We pulled off the road and into the woods with walkers following us. He turned off the cycle and started climbing a tree, he went up first before helping me. We sat there with my back flush against his chest. I swallowed hard grabbing my pack and pulling it in front of me backing farther against him, he looked at me.
"Ya alright there Dallas?"
I nodded my head.
"Yeah, I just need to block some of the wind until I can get my jacket out of my bag. Sorry if you're uncomfortable."
He shook his head at me.
"Naw, you're fine, you're kinda keepin me warm."
I smiled and looked down as a blush came to my face. I felt him chuckle behind me, I looked down to see that all the walkers were gone. I looked over my shoulder at Daryl to see him already looking at me. I smiled a bit before looking back down at the ground.
"Walkers are gone, we should get going again."
"What if I don't wanna?"
I laughed a little before jumping down from the tree only to be grabbed by a walker. I fell to the ground with it on top of me. I pushed it away the best I can keeping its teeth and hands away from my skin. I pushed it back by the throat getting rotten dead flesh and black blood under my nails. I struggled until an arrow came through the walkers forehead and it fell limp against my body. I pushed it off me and looked up to see Daryl standing there letting out a sigh. He held out his hand and I looked at mine shaking my head getting up on my own, he gave me a weird look.
"My hands are covered in rotten flesh and black blood, believe me I won't bestow that type of evil upon your hands."
He started laughing and I found myself enchanted by his laugh, he stopped and smiled at me.
"Nice language, how old are ya again?"
"Alright, lets just grab the cycle and go alright?"
He nodded his head and stopped laughing as we headed to the cycle hopping on. We got back to the road and continued on our way. We stopped in a town packing whatever food and water we could find. We then headed back towards the prison. We pulled into the woods so we could hunt, but instead we stopped by a tree, Daryl hopped off and looked at me.
"We'll stay in that tree tonight, hunt tomorrow. "
I nodded before we climbed into the tree, he went first and then me. As we sat there, I grabbed out my leather jacket pulling it on. I pulled up the zipper before leaning against Daryl. He tied us to the tree so if we fell asleep we wouldn't fall out. He wrapped his arms around me and for the first time since the world went to shit I actually slept. The only thing that was running through my mind was my curiosity about him.
~Daryl's POV~
I woke up today and walked out of my cell. I grabbed my backpack settin it on the bed pullin on my boots before walkin to the main area waitin for Dallas. When she finally came out I couldn't help but stare. She was wearin a red flannel, with ripped dark jeans, and knee high boots, she looked amazin. As I looked at her all I wanted to do pulled her against my chest crashin my lips to her. I shook my head tryin to clear it of the thoughts I was havin as she spoke.
"Hey, you ready to go?"
I nodded my head .
"Yeah, lets go."
We walked out of the prison hoppin on my bike before we started our supply and huntin run. We were ridin down the road when we came across a herd of walkers. I started ridin into the woods walkers followin. I turned off the bike climbin up one of the trees before helpin Dallas up. We sat there with her back flush against my chest. I felt her swallow hard before she grabbed her backpack settin it in front of her as she backed farther against my chest. I held my breath before lookin at her.
"Ya alright there Dallas?"
She nodded her head.
"Yeah, I just need to block some of the wind until I can get my jacket out of my bag. Sorry if you're uncomfortable."
I shook my head at her.
"Naw, you're fine, you're kinda keepin me warm."
She smiled lookin down as a blush came to her face. I chuckled knowin that she was tryin to hide it but failin. She looked over her shoulder at me to see that I was already lookin at her. She smiled a bit before lookin back at the ground.
"Walkers are gone, we should get going again."
"What if I don't wanna?"
I really didn't wanna to let her go, I just wanted her to stay close to me. I knew it was bad for me to be gainin feelins for this girl when I hardly know her. Every time she's with me I get this weird feelin in my stomach. Every time we touch I get shivers up and down my spine, and my skin feels like it's on fire from her touch. She laughed a little jumpin down only to be grabbed by a walker. I watched as she fell to the ground with it on top of her. She pushed it away the best she could, I watched as she struggled with it, until I shot an arrow through its head, it fallin limp against her body. She pushed it off and looked up at me, I held out my hand and she looked at hers shakin her head gettin up on her own, I gave her a weird look.
"My hands are covered in rotten flesh and black blood, believe me I won't bestow that type of evil upon your hands."
I started laughin, and when I finally stopped I smiled at her. I couldn't believe she actually talks like that, she sounds really old.
"Nice language, how old are ya again?"
"Alright, lets just grab the cycle and go alright?"
I nodded my head and stopped laughin as we headed to my bike and hopped on. We made our way back to the road and continued our trip into town. We stopped in a town grabbin any food and water we could find, before headin back towards the prison. We pulled into the woods about five yards away so we could hunt, but instead I decided to stop, I hopped off and looked at Dallas.
"We'll stay in that tree tonight, and hunt tomorrow deal?"
"Deal."
We hopped into the tree, me first so I could help Dallas up. We sat there and I felt her shiver before she grabbed her jacket pullin it on as she leaned against me. I tied us to the tree so we wouldn't fall, before I wrapped my arms around her. For the first time since the world went to shit I finally found someone who wouldn't shy away from me. I smiled as I watched her sleep against my chest. I knew that this was the first time that she had actually slept since this shit. I'm just worried that I might be gainin feelins for her just a little too quick.
