❝ Brair Rose Convel was named after the 1992 novel released by the name Briar Rose. The novel was part of the Fairy Tale Series, so it was no surprise to anyone really when she grew up believing in happily ever afters and fairy tales. A young Briar Rose played roles in fantasy movies and was an idol for the younger audience. Her elite lifestyle, acting in fantasy and smile straight out of the world of wonderland got her the title of New York's princess. In an interview in 2015 she was asked why she went by the name Thorn, she said, "Brair Rose means thorny rose shrub. When I asked my father why he named me that he said 'you were this beautiful flower when you fell asleep but as soon you woke up you were a thorn pricking me everywhere' [ nervous laughter ]" She continued by explaining, " It was only fitting that I became Thorn after my pre- teenage angst." We couldn't have explained it better ourselves. "Plus Thorn Convel is a better Instagram handle." Fans are devastated to hear that she won't be taking any roles right now but Thorn has always been able to surprise us. At the end of the last Tuesday's interview with WIRED she said, " Who knows. Maybe one day I wake up and realize the perfect role for me to play. But I'll never say no to acting." Oh my god, did you really say tha—❞
"You need to stop reading articles about me." Thorn snatched the phone out of Tess's hand and threw it onto the bed. "And I did say that. She touched her pimples which looked more visible than they ever have, her eyes had dark circles under, her lips looked too thin, her skin was pale, her nose didn't have that arch all the other influencers seem to have, her eyes weren't blue enough, her cheeks were chubby, her hair in a knot on top made her look like she was trying too hard— she opened it up and ruffled it to the side, it looked like she wasn't trying hard enough, she tied it in a ponytail and grabbed her concealer to hide the imperfections of her face, she grabbed a highlighter and highlighted her collarbones, she—
