changes are coming

I woke up early and grabbed my phone off the bedside table. I rubbed my eyes and clicked the power button to see if I had any texts. None. It wasn't like I was expecting  people to text me but it would be nice if they did. I threw the navy blue blanket off my slim body and walked down the hall into the bathroom to shower. I stripped of my clothes and stepped onto the white tile. I turned  the faucet on for the shower and let the steamy hot water pour onto my achy muscles. This was paradise. I quickly washed my long bluish purple hair and scrubbed my body clean. I wrapped the Grey towel around my  body and walked into my room to change. I grabbed some black skinny  jeans and a purple all time low shirt. Then I applied some light makeup and threw my Hair into a ponytail. I rushed down the stairs and grabbed my purse off the counter. I locked the door than sat down in the driver seat of my car. I started the engine and slid in "suicide season" by bring me the horizon .  This had to be one off my favorite  albums of all time. (A/n this album is so good! Check it out if you haven't already) I started singing along to my favorite song on the album called diamonds aren't forever. I just jammed out and it was great! I drove into the Starbucks parking  lot and parked my car which was easy because it's so small. I walked in and the aroma of coffee surrounded me.
"Hey boo thang" my best friend claire squealed at me.
"Hey claire" I said laughing  to myself.
"Can I get you the usual?" SHe asked
" yeah and thanks." I smiled but something caught my attention. I looked towards he back and at a table was the most beautiful  guy I've seen since luke. After luke died I just couldn't think of a guy in that kind of way, but this was different. He had shoulder length brown hair that curled at the end, tanned skin covering his muscular  build, and the most incredible smile and eyes.
"Earth to ellie" claire said and waved her hand in front of my face.
" oh what yeah um  sorry  " i said feeling my cheeks blush.
"I saw you staring at him. You don't need to be embarrassed , I'm making his coffee right now so he has to come over here and you can talk to  him." SHe wiggled her eyebrows at me.
"Hell nah" I said and slapped her in her arm.
"Hell yes! See his coming this way  to grab his coffee. Get ready to talk to him" she said smiling wide as he walked over.
"Thanks for the coffee " he said to claire then turned to me. " Hey I'm vic and my buddies over there thought I should talk to you and your really cute so yeah." He said while pointing to his friends with a billion tattoos  waved at me.
"What's your name?" He said looking back at  me.
"I'm ellie ." I looked at the ground and hoped he couldn't  see me blushing.
"That's a cute name .  Here's my phone number in case you want to hang out or grab some coffee." He handed me a slip of paper and stuffed his hands in his pocket which was adorable .
" thanks I'll definitely  take you up on that offer. " I said and giggled to myself .
"OK then,bye ellie" he smiled and chuckled which made my heart flutter .
"Bye vic" I said and smiled back at him. For the first time  in a long time I felt like things were looking up.
