"What do you mean?"
"Is Tanjiro your real name?" Nezuko asked again, though trembling, the sword was still pointed towards me.
"How dare you speak like that to him!" Rui interrupted.
"Rui," I said calmly, turning around to see the pale boy, his face drenched in sweat. "When did I say you could speak?"
There was silence in the air as Rui looked down. Then, right behind Rui, I saw the same boy. He was crying on the ground, head buried in his knees. Then, he looked at me. The spitting image of myself, maybe it was me, stared at me.
"Why aren't you protecting Nezuko?"

"What were we saying again?" I looked around at the unfamiliar scenery. It still looked like I was in the mountain, but now Nezuko-chan was in front of me.
"Stop playing around! How many innocents did you eat? What's your real name?" she shouted, confusing me more.
"Um, well it's not like I eat people. Wait, so what's going on right now?" behind me was a trembling boy, he smelled like Muzan-san.
"Stop with the mind games, what's your purpose?"
"What do you mean? I just don't-"

I yanked the sword out of Nezuko's hand, barely in time to stop an attack.
"Who are you?"
The man looked at me with a blank expression, not bothering to answer.
"Rui," I looked at him, his trembling still evident. "Fight him."
Rui immediately jumped in front of me, using his blood technique to trap the man in. But not even 5 minutes from when the battle started, the man swiftly cut Rui's neck. I looked at Rui as he began to decay in front of me, the smell of ash and sadness filled my lungs as I prayed that he would be sent off peacefully. It was my fault for using Rui to test his strength.
"Giyuu-san! Be careful, he's an Upper Moon!" Nezuko warned from afar. we made eye contact, to which she glared and quickly looked away.
The pillar, Giyuu, started swinging his sword at me without a moment of hesitation. His quiet demeanor and clean cuts impressing me. Forgetting about the battle, I had accidentally gotten myself cut deep. I jumped back quickly hiding behind a tree in hope of regenerating.
"He's too slow at regenerating." Giyuu finally said, looking down at me. "Are you sure he's an upper moon?"
I was about to answer when an attack came from behind, barely getting me again.
"Oh my Tomioka, what is taking you so long to finish such a weak demon?" the lady asked, the smell of anger and sorrow faintly hiding behind her jokes.
"I'm not weak," I stated, looking at both of them and sighing. "You're both pillars, right? Let's just talk it out before I have another mood swing."
They both looked at each other before eyeing me suspiciously.
"What is our guarantee that you won't harm us or the people nearby?" The lady asked, her hand gripping tightly on her small, thin sword.
Thinking about how I could guarantee them, I looked at my right arm. "I'm right-handed, so I'll cut my right arm off."
Both looked surprised at first as they saw me cut my arm off. We all waited for my blood to stop gushing out, after a while, my arm slowly started to heal itself.
"Let's talk before my arm recovers, yes?" I now looked at all three of them as I sat up against the tree, trying my best to stay upright.
"Why do you need to go to such lengths to talk to us?" the lady asked, still suspicious of me.
"Lady, are you well taught in medicine?"
"It's Shinobu, and yes I am," Shinobu answered, nobody dares sit down much less put their sword down.
"Well, as long as I could remember, I've had split personalities. I don't know how far the others remember, but I'm the most empathetic one. There's the angry one and the dumb one and some others. I must warn you all something-"
"And how should we trust you?" this time Nezuko butt in, she smelled of anger and confusion. "We don't even know your name."
"I'm sorry, but my memories don't go far enough to remember what my name is. But there is one thing I do remember, but if I tell you this, I will disappear. So ask me anything you want to before that."
"Why are you telling us this, do you mean all of you would disappear?" Shinobu asked, her guard not dropping one bit.
"Hmm, I don't know. But by disappear, I mean this personality me. Just a warning, careful of the smart one." I looked around to check if anyone had questions, I felt a faint ringing in my ears. The part of my brain trying to forbid me to tell.
"There is a completely logical explanation as to why I regenerate slowly but am still an Upper Moon."
"Wait!" Nezuko shouted. "how were you able to walk in the sun?" both pillars were taken back by that.
I smiled as the sensation of my arm growing back slowly made me grit my teeth. "That is the same reason and the answer is what I was going to tell you. My split personality is also because of this experiment being repeated many times. Though he barely pops up, the oldest personality can tell you the rest later, getting to him is a difficult task though."
"Hurry and tell us, you're wasting time." Giyuu pointed his sword at me, reminding me of his existence.
"My bad, well, it's because I'm only half-demon. Tell Kagaya Ubuyashiki, that I will tell everything about Muzan."
