"Your blood pressure seems to be normal."
Hermione rolled her eyes.
"I suggest that you keep yourself hydrated due to your temperature-"
Another eye roll, which Malfoy caught and gave her the smallest of smirks; the only time he had actually looked at her since she had left the Bathroom after- well ... after they had done what they did... or didn't do.
It was awkward. She knew it would be and as soon as her thought process had returned to normal, she immediately questioned both of their sanities for letting it go that far. But then again, that was the whole point wasn't it? Neither of them was in their right minds at that point. They both needed to go through that process to get themselves to where they were now; thinking coherently.
A means to an end. It was just a means to an end. For him, anyway.
"And you said she can't have any calming draughts or sleeping potions?" Draco asked the Witch enquiringly. "To help her?"
She felt a little stung by that. She had thought of it herself, but hearing it from him was like him saying he wanted her unconscious to make it easier. Like he wouldn't feel the emotional rollercoaster he was on as strongly if she was out cold.
"We don't know how they will react together, I'm afraid." The Medi-witch replied and she tucked the clipboard under her arm. "Someone will be back a little later with food and to check Hermione over again –" Hermione huffed and shook her head. "-Until then, just...well..."
Draco snorted. "Try not to shag?" Hermione's hair stood up on the back of her neck. "Yeah, I'm sure we'll try to contain ourselves, Healer Murphy."
The Healer mumbled something under her breath before exiting the room, leaving the pair of them alone in silence once again.
Hermione chose the time to rifle through the bag that Malfoy had brought in for her. She had fallen asleep once she had brought herself out of the bathroom. Malfoy had positioned himself back in the armchair and must have stayed there quietly until she had fallen asleep, silently watching over her.
The release had brought her sleep, but upon waking that familiar ache between her legs had started to ebb away at her again.
She refused to let Malfoy know that, though. She would just wait until he could feel it too...anything else was just too embarrassing and she flat out refused to ask him for help again while she was still lucid.
Not when it was slightly awkward between them after the last time. She didn't even know if he would want to help again. Last time had been intense.
Yes. Very intense. The things he said to her and the way he said them made her skin feel like it was catching fire. He made her insides ache and her mind race. It didn't help that the initial attraction she felt towards him only grew stronger once the potions potency increased.
She knew she would have to be careful with what she said to him as time went on in all of this...she couldn't have him working out how bad her little thing for him was.
Rifling through her bag, she saw him move from the armchair and stretch himself. His arms going up into the air and behind his head. She really never noticed just how tall and daunting he was when he was at full height. His whole presence could make people feel intimidated, especially when they were out in the field and someone tried to threaten or attack either of them.
A flashback gripped her mind as she remembered the murderer Flintwick Rheon being suspended in mid-air against a cold brick wall by Malfoy's bare hands because the man had threatened Hermione as he was cornered by the pair. He boasted that he could make her do things sexually that she could only dream of under the Imperius Curse. Hermione could remember the feral growl that had erupted from her blonde partner, and he moved so quickly that Hermione didn't have time to process what was going on.
