Draco Malfoy was right, of course. He always was. Those last six hours of the potion's effects were hard on them both, but he saw them both through it with both grace and respect. Never once did he deny her, taking great pleasure in making her come multiple times as he fucked her deeply, but he never came inside of her any of those times.

Each time he lay her down on the bed or let her straddle him on the chair he would whisper naughty little things in her ear and tell her how amazing she was...how amazing she felt to him...how thankful he was that he got to be the one to see her through this...and he never got bored of ravishing her body over and over until she ached in areas that she didn't know existed..

In fact, Hermione came to realise as the last few hours ebbed away that he held her tightly and protectively as they teetered on the edge between consciousness and sleep. He never let her out of his sight, even when she rolled out of his embrace during sleep. She could faintly remember pulling free in her subconscious memories, but he was quick to roll over and pull her back into him, his size shadowing hers.

And now here they were; bags packed and a certified bill of health checked over, which meant that they were ready to go. And although Hermione was thankful that they were both back within their right minds again, she couldn't help the tinge of sadness that had crept over her as they exited the room together and walked along the corridors.

The last two days had been their little haven...their own little personal space within the world that felt like it was only the two of them that existed. They had been so close, and now it was probably going to get awkward and messy and Draco was going to regret the whole thing. She knew he had some sort of feelings for her, but she couldn't be sure which were real and which were the effects of the potion. It annoyed her no end that they had never really had 'the' conversation before they left the room.

She had almost bumped into his back as he stopped outside of the entrance doors to the hospital once they were finally free. Draco turned around to look at her, and she knew that he hadn't quite known what to say.

"It's okay," she told him with a small smile. "You don't have to." She felt the wind blowing on her cheeks and shuddered slightly. "I should get home really...try and get my sleep back into a normal pattern."

The wind blew a piece of hair across her cheek and she watched as Draco's hand came out automatically to move it out of the way, before he remembered himself and stopped, putting his hand into his coat pocket with a slight tinge of pink to his cheeks.

"Right then- so," he started, scuffing his shoes at the floor uncomfortably. "I'll see you in work bright and early tomorrow, then?"

Hermione nodded, bringing her coat closer to herself. Looking at him was getting difficult. It was like she wanted to say something, but knew that if she spoke then a whole train of thought would come bubbling out. If he wasn't in the same place that she was then it would be awfully embarrassing.

So instead she opted for; "Yes, tomorrow." And watched him as he nodded in goodbye and began to walk away. "Draco, wait." she added in almost desperation. She couldn't just let him walk away... but what did she say?

He stopped a few paces and turned to look at her. She couldn't be sure if she was making it up or not, but she was sure that she saw something in his eyes that looked as eager as she felt.

"Thank you." Came out of her mouth before she could stop it.

Say something else...tell him you appreciate him and don't regret it...tell him you'd very much be willing to have sex with him again... tell him bloody anything to stop him from walking –
