Rias Gremory sat in her chair in her club's headquarters, sipping a cup of tea while keeping an eye on her pawn and her queen. It's been a while since Lucifer entered, in his own words, 'Akeno's dreamscape'. Does that magic even exist? She thought to herself. She knew how to manipulate someone's memory, but she'd never heard of a way to actually enter their memories.

Her gaze was transfixed on Lucifer. She really didn't understand the events that transpired on that day. Why would a supposedly all-powerful being like Lucifer choose to join her faction? And, How come she never knew about the existence of the 'devil king' piece? Was dual existence really that painful? And the way Lucifer defined the word 'balance breaker' was really off-putting.

Lucifer Morningstar, She thought, What is your goal?

Almost as soon as her thoughts exited her mind, her Devil king piece stirred up, he seemed a bit lost and staggered to his feet. Before Rias could offer her help, he cut her off and muttered "It's fine. I'll be okay."

"What happened?"

A wry smile appeared on Lucifer's face as he muttered "She knows now. She knows what a bastard her father is."

Upon insistence from Rias, Lucifer detailed his history with Akeno and the truth behind the murder of Shuri Himejima, Akeno's mother. He also told her of the way how the trinity, with the help of Ophis, destroyed his consciousness.

Lucifer said "Moments before she ran off, I used my power to bestow a protective barrier around her. I made sure that she'd be safe and she'd live. Even your negotiations with her family were a result of that. My protection ensured that she would be happy. And, President, when you took her in, there was no need for my protection anymore. She found her home, her people, and eventually, her friends. What you did for her, cannot be understated. And for that, you forever have my gratitude.

Rias smiled and said "That day in the woods, it was as if I had found myself a sister. She was my first friend, my confidant. I would not be what I am today if it wasn't for Akeno."

Lucifer said "Miss Gremory, do you know where I might find Baraqiel?"

"No. But, I am sure that he would show up if Azazel calls for him."

"Right..." He mumbled.

"You should not have attacked Azazel, Lucifer."

Lucifer pretended like he didn't hear Rias and yelled "VALI!"

A portal appeared next to Lucifer, through which a silver-haired boy stepped out. He bowed his head slightly to Lucifer and said "You sent for me, Lord Morningstar?"

Rias' eyes widened as she said "Vali?!"

He nodded curtly but fixed his gaze on Lucifer. His personality was completely different around Lucifer. He always had a braggadocious side to him, he was confident, charming, and arrogant. But all of it seemed to have vanished when he stood next to Lucifer Morningstar.

Lucifer said, "Vali, fetch me Azazel. It's time."

A sadistic grin appeared on the White Dragon Emperor's face. He bowed slightly and said "Yes, Lord Morningstar."

Vali transformed into his white dragon scale mail and flew away.

Rias said, "What are you planning Lucifer?"

He smiled impassively but didn't respond. He calmly sat on the couch staring at a waking Akeno.

Rias, still unsure of Lucifer, hugged her best friend.
