Missing you

"Unnie, why can't we see the air?"

"Unnie, why does broccoli taste bad?"

"Unnie, do you think do you think fish fart?"

"YOU GOTTA BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!"

Jennie groans as she throws her head backwards, teeth nibbling her lower lip as she stares at her wife who seems more than happy to ignore her and listens attentively to what little Roseanne has to say.

"You're so adorable"

Jisoo smiles, patting the girl on her lap as the chipmunk starts to yawn.

"Jisoo, I'm the adorable one here!"

Jennie stares in disbelief at her wife. Jisoo lifts her eyes to look at Jennie for a moment before shrugging her shoulders. "I don't know, Jen. Rosie here looks more adorable"

"What's adorable? With all those stupid questions? I can ask you a thousand times more if you want"

"Stop being jealous, Jen. And those questions aren't stupid. I like them. They are pure"

"I agree" Jennie nods. "Pure dumb"

"Jennie, don't curse in front of a child"

Jisoo reprimands her as she presses her palms to cover Roseanne's ears.

"What? God, Jisoo. You are no fun"

"I'm gonna take her to sleep. Or do you want to do it?"

The business tycoon asks, taking the chipmunk in her arms as she raises her eyebrows at her wife, waiting for the doctor's response.

"If taking her to sleep means I can suffocate her with pillow, then count me in"

"I guess it'd be only me then"

Jisoo sighs as she walks to the room where Roseanne will be sleeping tonight. She puts the girl carefully on the bed, changes her socks and tucks the blanket till it reaches her chin.

"Good night, Rosie" she kisses the girl on her temple. "Do you want me to tell you a bedtime story?"

"No" the girl shakes her head. "I miss Lili"

Jisoo's lips turn into a small curl. Gently, she runs her hand up and down the girl's side.

"I know. I bet she misses you too. But it won't be long you know? She'll be here soon"

"Okay"

"Now, go to sleep. I'll watch you until you fall into one, okay?"

Roseanne nods as she yawns again. Humming a little, Jisoo plays with the girl's hair until those brown orbs finally shut and what's heard is just a soft snore.

Lisa turns on her bed. She reads the time on her phone. A quarter to midnight.

She doesn't know why but it feels weird to sleep on the bed alone, without the little chipmunk next to her side, snoring or hugging her tightly, stealing her body warmth.

"Fuck it" she says at last as she slides off the bed and grabs her jacket from the wardrobe.

Jisoo walks sleepily towards the door. She doesn't bother checking through the peep hole before opening the door, a little bit of surprised to see her little sister standing there in her dark jacket and scarf around her neck.

"Lisa, what are you doing here?"

"I missed her" the Thai says as she sighs. "Do you see my Chipmunk?"

A smile pops on Jisoo's lips. "She missed you too, Lisa"

They walk towards the room where the kid sleeps and Lisa wastes no time in walking through the door and wraps her arms around the sleeping chipmunk.

"Hey" Roseanne's adorable voice breaks the silence. A sleepy smile spread on her lips as she takes a deep breath and buries her face in the crook of Lisa's neck.

"You're back" she says. And Lisa nods, kissing the fat chipmunk.

"I missed you, jagiya"

"I missed you too" the kid mumbles against the skin of the latter's neck. "Can we go home?"

She asks adorably and Lisa nods, tears in her eyes as she hugs her tightly. "Yes, jagi" she says. "Let's go home"

"You're bringing her back?"

Jisoo asks lazily as she sees her little sister clinging to that little everything.

"Yeah" Lisa nods. "I'm a lot better now. In fact, I'm sicker if she's not around. I miss these tiny feet running around up and down in the house by the way"

"Oh" the tiny hands cup Lisa's cheeks. "You wuv me a lot, Lili?"

"Of course" Lisa nods. "I wuv you a lot, jagi. More than you could possibly imagine"

That makes the little angel laughs adorably, peppering Lisa's face with her kisses.

"Now, let's go home"

"Yes" Lisa looks at Jisoo. "I'll bring her home"

They both walk past the door and Lisa locks it a second they step into the house.

"Now, we gonna wash our faces and go to sleep, okay?"

Lisa says, hanging her keys at the key place again before holding the tiny hand in hers.

"Lili?" the kid mumbles.

"Yes, jagi?"

"Don't let me go again with people"

"Hmm?"

"I don't like it that I'm away from you" Roseanne mumbles and it breaks Lisa's heart. "I wanna be with you"

"I know" Lisa nods. "I'm sorry okay? I love you a lot and I'll never let people take you away from me again. Never"

The kid smiles before hugging Lisa again.

"I wuv you, Lili"

"I wuv you too, Jagiya"
