"What is going on?" Katherine asked as she saw Klaus with red eyes and serious expression. He entered the room and unlocked the chains holding her down. "I never thought I would say that, but I need your help" Katherine raised her eyebrows and shrugged with carelessness. "And why would I help you"
"Because for some weird reason you care about Elena, who is currently under my brother's possession and getting tortured by Stefan Salvatore" Katherine's eyes widened, never in her wildest dreams she would guess that one specific duo would torture Elena. It just sounded so surreal, she was not able to process. "Elijah and Stefan?"
"Yes Katerina, your lovers. But for some reason you care about Elena and I don't have anyone to trust with Elena's safety other than you" Katherine sighed and nodded, causing Klaus to rip the chains away. "I don't understand why Elena, why do you care about her so much out of all the people in the world"
"Because she reminds me myself, my old self I always thought that it was dead" Katherine narrowed her eyes and rubbed her wrists slowly. "She reminds me myself too, but I am not crushing on her"
"That is only because you are straight" Katherine laughed as they both walked out of the room to upstairs. "Please, who told you that?" Klaus narrowed his eyes, not really interested in Katherine's sexuality. He led her into his and Elena's room showing her in. "Get change into something decent, you have five minutes"
He left the room without saying anything more, giving Katherine some time to explore the room. She walked to the wall which Elena set alight and left a help sign. She traced the wall with her fingers, her lips letting out a small sigh as she turned to non made bed and left open grimoires. Katherine frowned and walked to the bed, taking a look at grimoires. They all were about the same thing, the hybrid curse and the doppelgänger's role in curse. Katherine sat down and took a look at the grimoire, it was nothing like she had seen before; and her maidenly long life, she had seen a lot of grimoires written and owned by enormously powerful witches.
She looked through the pages, it was in latin but with its translation to French. Katherine smirked, Elena was clever enough to not translating the spells into English, keeping it away from preying eyes. "Seul le sang mystique peut créer les esclaves du soleil et de la lune"
"Only the mystical blood can create the slaves of the sun and the moon" She heard Klaus saying, but she could say he was only translating. Klaus frowned and walked into the room, looking over the grimoire. "This is Elena's" Katherine nodded and pointed at the other grimoires. "Shelia Bennett gave her them"
"They were all open and all showing the same thing, your curse and the doppelgängers. Elena was searching for something" Klaus nodded and grabbed one of the grimoires, he frowned with the familiarity. He sighed and looked at the other pages. "This is a copy of my mother's grimoire"
"The Original Witch? The witch who created the curse?" He nodded, trying to understand what Elena was doing. Then it accrued to him, she was worried. She was aware something bad was coming, that was why she was begging him to take her with him. He growled and threw the grimoire away, only for it to place on bed. "She tried to tell me something was wrong, she was trying to see what was wrong!"
"Does that mean you can't create any hybrids?" Klaus did not say anything, he knew the answer. And he knew he needed Elena if he was going to achieve something decent. He turned to Katherine before walking out. "We are visiting the Bennett witch" Katherine frowned and followed him to down stairs. "If you want to locate her you need something belongs to her"
"I have something belongs to her" His hand found the necklace hanging around his neck, he was just glad that Elena spelled and linked them together. They both got in the car and Klaus drove to Bonnie's house.
Klaus was quick to knock the door, he waited patiently until Bonnie showed up. She looked worried, more than worried. Klaus frowned and looked at her. "Ms Bennett" Bonnie looked at him sharply. "Where is Elena?" Klaus narrowed her eyes and gestured Katherine to reveal herself. Katherine smiled friendly and Bonnie let out a sigh. "Thank god! Elena I am so sorry"
Katherine gulped, just like Elena would do and nodded. Bonnie looked at Klaus and sighed. "Invite him in Bonnie, he is not here to hurt you. I promise, I would never let him" Bonnie narrowed her eyes but nodded her head. "Come in, both of you. House is getting cold" Katherine smirked and sped Bonnie to the walk. "You know, I have impersonated Veronica before. I always thought Elena was way more unique than her dull as dishwasher twin"
"Well, you are not wrong" Klaus was slow to walk in. He looked at Katherine and nodded his head, making her let Bonnie go. "But Katerina was not lying, I am not here to hurt you. I need a witch who trusts Elena, even though hates me not to mention" Bonnie frowned and looked both of them as she fold her arms defensively. "It has been two days, you think that I did not try to locate her? She is my best friend!" The young witch yelled at the vampire duo. Klaus narrowed his eyes and unclasped his necklace. "Thinking, Ms Bennett, but small thinking" He put it down and looked at the witch. "I want you to find the necklace linked to my necklace which is currently wearing by Elena" Bonnie pursed her lips and nodded, grabbed the necklace a bit much harshly for Klaus' liking. "Make sure there is no damage done on the necklace, it means pretty much everything"
Bonnie just narrowed her eyes, but deep down she was glad that Elena had someone looking after her when she was in danger.
