"Nice to meet you." He said in a raspy voice. He was very tall for a junior. His hair was swept up it was a golden color. I had to admit he was very handsome. "Uh..yeah..you too" I struggled to figure out what to say. I was so glad when the teacher, Mrs. Bush said for us to take our seats. Of course, we had assigned desk partners and I got paired up with Alex. I have to admit though, I was kind of excited about having a desk with him. "So are you new here?" He asked. "Uh, yeah we moved here two months ago." " That's good , so how are you liking cali ?" He asked. "It's actually very nice , i like riding my skateboard along the beach , its very relaxing." I told him. " You dont really seem like the skateboarding type ," he smiled. " Yeah i know." It seemed like we were talking for hours , and it was only a 45 minute class . As the day went by I noticed i had every class with him . We sat together in every single one , well except my last two periods , I sat with Ella . " So how do you like Alex? " I had to think about this for like five minutes " He's a very cool guy . very down to earth" I told her. " It seems like you really like him ." I didn't know how to reply so i just turned around blushing like crazy . I got home later that day and I remembered Alex had given me his phone number . I decided to text him
me : Hey Alex ! it's Riley
Alex : hey Riley ..I'm kind of busy but I'll text you when i get a chance .
I left it at that . I didn't know what I was feeling , Was i catching feelings for Alex ? I didn't think of Jake once , which was unusual , So maybe i actually did have feelings for Alex . That is something i dreaded the most , falling in love with someone . It hurt so bad when i didn't tell Jake . And i just moved on like nothing. Ugh.
I fell asleep later that night thinking about Alex. If I really did have feelings for Alex, what would happen to Jake and I?
