Grandfather???

ATHENA: WHAT?! Y-you can't be, you're dead! 

Ryder looked serious with everyone else except Maverick in shock, of course. 

RYDER: I'm serious, Athena. 

ATHENA: But why does Mom hate you? 

Ryder then frowned as if in bad memory but before Athena could continue-

RYDER: I kicked her out at 16 because... she told me she was pregnant. She had lost her mother a year ago due to a fire, she was devastated but all I could do was raise her the way I wanted to. Then she came up to me with a positive pregnancy test and I was so angry I kicked her out almost immediately in anger. Later I realized she was just pranking me but I couldn't find her anywhere. 

ATHENA: So you kicked her out and got away with it?! I can't believe you!

Before anyone could stop her Athena stormed to her room and started crying in shock. Ryder couldn't have done that to her teen mother, never!  Athena soon fell asleep before seeing Ezra go near the guest room, which meant he was staying.

HERA: Athena, is it?

The twi'lek rebel entered quietly and sat down next to the young girl on her bed.  

ATHENA: They call me Tina. 

Hera nodded in understanding and squeezed Tina's hand with a small smile. 

HERA: I know I suffered as a teenager, especially with family and trauma. 

ATHENA: And boyfriends?

Hera looked stunned as if the term "boyfriend" was a heavy weight on her but didn't cry much to Athena's surprise. 

HERA: My first boyfriend was the cruelest man I ever met, but we were only together for a year and 1/2. 

ATHENA: Why?

HERA: I caught him with another girl and got angry. Spent the rest of the night crying and told the whole city what he had done in the morning. Kanan's been my boyfriend since. 

ATHENA: Thanks, Ms Hera. I have a boyfriend, but I haven't met his parents yet so...

MAVERICK: Heera. 

Maverick appeared behind his sister holding Athena's comm as the girl gasped in shock. 

HERA: Has he spoken before?

ATHENA: N-no, that's his first word!
