When Athena woke up that morning she undid her curls as usual and went down to the breakfast to find her parents and Sabine, who was playing with Maverick, at the table as Grigory and Mara ran down the stone stairway almost knocking over their sister in the process.
ATHENA: Guess who spoke his first word today?
MARA: Was it me?
Mara was staring hopefully at her sister but Athena smiled and turned to her brother.
ATHENA: Maverick.
Maverick was tossing banana peels at Sabine's face as everyone stared in surprise.
SHARA: No way.
EZRA: Hey, who's that at the door?
Ezra ran from the front door in a confused tone. Athena went to the door to find her boyfriend Leo holding a bouquet of flowers and let him in.
LEO: Alstroemerias from my sister's garden. Um, my parents want to meet you tonight at 1600 for dinner.
ATHENA: Sure, I would love to meet your family! Did you mention a sister?
EZRA: Who was that other guy behind the door?
ATHENA: That's Ezra from the broadcast.
Leo had black hair and hzzel eyes with a kind smile. He held out his hand towards Ezra who reluctently took it.
LEO: I apprieate your courage to speak aganst the Empire, Ezra. Well, see you round.
Leo smiled at Athena before leaving with Ezra looking confused.
ATHENA: Leo's my boyfriend, Ezra! (dining room) Leo just asked me on a date-
MARA: Oh come on!
ATHENA: to meet his parents.
DEREK: When?
ATHENA: 1600 tonight. At least I still have that cheetah skirt.
EZRA: He seems nice.
ATHENA: Oh, he's the sweetest! When Maverick was born he gave us the teddy pacifer and now he loves it!
MARA: He gave me this unicorn toy for last christmas.
GREG: He taught me kung fu!
Athena smiled. She knew that if Leo was nice, then his parents likely were as well.
