Meeting Draco's parents (angst, fluff)

House: Hufflepuff.

Blood status: Half-blood.

Year: after Hogwarts (20 years old)

You were in your room putting your cookies in a red box to take to Draco's parents house, you loved baking and wanted to make a good first impression. You felt two warm hands on your waist as you sighed and took a deep breath to calm yourself, naturally you were nervous. "Are you alright, love" He asked with a concerned look on his face. "Yeah, just nervous" You replied and huffed. "They're going to love you and the cookies" He said. "I should have bought more gifts" You spoke. "Darling" He said. "You didn't even need to make cookies" He added. "I know, I just want to make a good first impression" You responded. Draco walked closer to you and cupped your cheek and you looked up at him. "You are amazing, kind, smart, and beautiful" He commented as gave you a quick light kiss, you smiled. "But your parents are hard to impress" you said. "I'll only talk positive about you, don't worry" He replied. "Why? Do I have negative things" you said looking at him. "Uh-uh n-no, of course not" He stuttered, you giggled and kissed him passionately as you wrapped your arms around his neck.

There was a loud ringtone, you and Draco jumped, Draco answered his phone. "We'll be there in 10 or 15 minutes" He said and closed the phone. He held your hand and you both walked out of Hogwarts. "Are you okay with apparating?" He questioned and you nodded. He held your hand as you both apparated, you were going to lose your balance so he held your waist. "I'm so anxious"  you said. "It's normal" he responded. The Malfoy mansion was in front of us, it was huge, dark, beautiful, and creepy at the same time, Draco knocked on the door. A minute later, the door opened, there was a beautiful woman. She had black and white hair and she was dressed in black, she looked nothing like Draco. She smiled at you and welcomed you in. "You're Draco's girlfriend" she said and shook your hands, You nodded and smiled. You walked inside and it was creepy, the tables had small skulls, it was dark, and almost everything was black. "You have a nice house" You lied. "Thank you, darling" she responded. You all sat at the table and a tall man with long platinum blonde hair walked in, he had almost the same features as Draco. "Is this your girlfriend?" He asked and Draco nodded. "Blood status?" He questioned. "Half-blood" You answered and he scoffed. "House?" He questioned. "Hufflepuff" You responded and he laughed. "Is there a problem?" You asked. "You're not a pureblood or a Slytherin" He replied. "Draco, you can't be serious" he added.  "You have to keep the bloodline pure" he said. "What's wrong with half-bloods?" He asked. "It's not like they're muggleborn" He added.

"Her mother is a mudblood" He said. "With all due respect, you have no right to say that to my mother when you don't know her at all" You said. "They're all the same, filthy beggars" He responded. "Dad" Draco said. "Stop" he added. "It's okay" You reassured him. "She's the kindest person you will ever meet, you can't say shit when you don't know anything about her" You replied. "Y/n" Draco said. "NO! IM TIRED OF THIS! I'm tired of the rude comments about me, my parents, my family, and my friends" You responded. "I came here to meet his parents trying to make a good first impression but I see we are starting of on the wrong foot, can you please not make rude comments about my mother" You added. He just stared at you and sat at the dinner table as you huffed. "What are your parents last names, Y/n?" She asked. "Diggory" You responded and Draco's father scoffed. "Dad stop" Draco said and you had tears in your eyes, this wasn't going as planned, You stood up and sighed. "Excuse me" You said as you ran to the bathroom. You started sobbing because you felt uncomfortable and annoyed, You cry when You're angry. There was a knock on the door and You huffed. "Go away" You said. "Can I come in?" Draco asked. "Oh, it's you" You said. "Come in" You added as he walked in and looked at you in concern. "My father has always been like this, I'm so sorry, darling" he said as you looked at him with tears in your eyes. "He makes these horrible comments about my family" You said and he hugged you as you sobbed on his chest. "I'll talk to him, wait here" he said as he stood up and walked out, you snuck behind to eavesdrop, you hid in the corner, they couldn't see you. "Draco, you should break up with her" His father said. "No" Draco responded. "I love her, father" he added. "This is not about love, it's about power" he replied. "You need to keep our bloodline pure and healthy" he explained. "What's wrong with marrying a half-blood" he said. "SHES NOT A PUREBLOOD OR A SLYTHERIN" He yelled. "She doesn't fit any of these" he added. "I don't care" Draco said.

"You need a girl who's pureblood, Slytherin, well-known family, and she has to be able to produce an heir" He explained. "Y/n is from a well-known family" Draco said. "Y/n's family "Diggory" was part of the sacred twenty eight, they ceased being pure-blood in the 1930s" his father responded. "I don't care about bloodline, IM NOT YOU!" He yelled. "She's beautiful, kind, smart, intelligent, caring, loving, and helpful" Draco added and you smiled. You walked in front of them and glared at his father. "I've tried to be happy and nice, you have crossed the line, Mr. Malfoy" You said. "By making rude comments about my family, you have crossed the line" You added, you looked at Draco and smiled at him. "It's okay, Draco" You said. "You could find a better girl for you" You added. "I could arrange you with Astoria, at least she won't use you for money" He said and you felt your blood boil, you hated her with pure hatred. Draco dated her in the past and she used to bully you. "You don't even know how much of a manipulative annoying woman Astoria was" Draco said. "What are you talking about?" His father questioned. "Astoria used me for money and fame" Draco responded. "No, that's nonsense" his father responded. "You know when we were losing money, she was the one who was spending it" Draco said. "Y/n refuses anything I buy her, she tells me to give it to mother" Draco added. "Really?" his mother said. "Yeah, that ring I got you was originally for her but she told me to give it you" he responded, Lucius scoffed and glared at you. "I hate Astoria, father" he said. "I'm not marrying her, I'm marrying Y/n" he added, what?

He got on one knee and you covered your mouth in shock. "Y/n Diggory, you are the most beautiful and kindest girl I have ever met, these 5 years have been amazing and I love you" he said. "Will you marry me?" He added, a tear rolled down your cheek. "YES! YES! of course" You said. "I love you too" You added. He put the ring on your finger and you hugged him as he hugged you back, His mother and father were surprised. "No, no I'm not allowing this" his father said. "I don't care" Draco said. He kissed you and you kissed back, he was smirking and you were smiling.
