Believe [Discontinued]

Chapter 8

Edd had came back to the house after picking up the clothes. When he woke up from a very eventful yesterday, he gave the clothes to Tom and told him to go put them on.

Once Tom came back, he had a big smile as he showed off the clothes he's wearing.

He happily exclaimed, "Thank you, Mr. Edd!"

Tom was so ecstatic, that he gave Edd a hug and kissed Ringo on the nose, boop!

"I've never had such nice clothes before!! This is amazing!!"

Edd smiled and watched Tom leave to do some chores. His smile darken as he thought about the life Tom was living before he became his roommate. The humans had started to regress again after all these years of progress and development.

He had to get him and Ringo out of this town. They will clearly hold them back from having a full life.

He went back into his study and took out his map. He had marked where his friends where living and had made contact with them some time ago, hopefully he'll get a reply soon.

In the meantime, he should find a temporary home away from this horrible town. Then he  remembered Tom still has a mother.

He sighed and sat back in his chair, he wiped his face with his hand and rested his arm on his eyes. He frowned and thought about how to contact her.

"She probably thinks he's still at the church...."

He sits back up and takes the files out of his desk that have Tom's name on it.

He has files of everyone currently alive and dead in this century and in this town. He skims through the files trying to find an address. There, on the third page in the back of the file, on a smudged note. It was hard to read, but he managed.

He then began to write a letter to Tom's mother, explaining what has been going on with Tom. Knowing Tom's mother is not like other humans, he give her full permission to rampage.

"With in reason of course.", he says to himself.

"Mr. Edd! Are you hungry? I made a snack for you!"

Tom knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

"You can come in Tom!"

"I made Rose petal tea with cinnamon and tangerine tarts!"

"Thank you Tom, put it on my table over there."

Edd had a double take.

"Tom, why are you wearing your robes?"

"Oh! Well, It would be a waste to dirty such nice clothes when I could wear them in special occasions."

"I see, but Tom, just know that those clothes are every day activities. So it's okay to get a little dirty."

"But..."

"It's really okay, Tom. Now would you like to sit with me and have tea?"

"Can I really? I don't want to bother..."

"It's no problem, I would love to spend more time with you!"

"Okay, Mr. Edd", Tom shyly smiles and sits on the couch in the study.

They spent the rest of the day enjoying Tea and Tarts with Ringo napping next to Tom.

"Oh, I forgot to mention this Tom."

"Yes?"

"We will be moving to a different town, is that okay with you? I have a letter to be sent to your mother to let her know. Would you like to write one to her too?"

Tom blushed and fidget.

"I-Is it really okay? I never get a letter...."

"Actually, something went wrong in the post office! Your letters where lost in the back somewhere and have finally been found!", Edd easily lied.

"They have?"

"Yes, a whole stack has already been sent to her as we speak, but if you want to make a new one.."

"Yes! I'll go-"

"Wait, before you go."

"Oh?"

"Here are the letters your mother sent you! You can read them over when ever you want!"

Tom smiled brightly and skipped out of the room to his own.
