The Unexpected Always Happens (Bakudeku fanfic)

Chapter 3 - The Big Secret

3rd Person POV:
It was 5:40 and Izuku Midoriya was so nervous. He has never felt so nervous before. The number one hero, his idol, All Might, the person who he looked up to and admired so much all his life, first complemented him, then told other pros to be like him, and then told him to meat him at the beach. Izuku's brain was exploding and he was panicking. When his clock said 5:45, he stepped out of the house and headed towards the beach, still panicking and really nervous. He speed walked silently (actually he was muttering), not actually wanting to speed walk, but it just happened by itself. He walked, not knowing that someone was watching him...

Bakugo POV:
I didn't want to follow the stupid nerd, but it happened anyway. I was coming back from my afternoon run, and saw Deku walking down the opposite side of the street muttering loudly to himself. I hid behind a tree, and my feet just moved in their own. They followed Deku. Earlier today when I was attacked by the sludge monster I heard through all my coughing that All Might whispered something to Izuku about meeting him. I didn't know where or when, but here I was, walking behind that nerd.

After a long walk, we finally reached a very dirty beach. Beach? Why the hell would someone meet a pro hero on a dumb beach that was all covered in junk? Nevertheless, I still followed the nerd, and sure enough, I saw All Might standing in front of a hill of rubbish.

Izuku POV:
I walked towards the beach, until I felt a strong thump on my shoulder. I looked up and saw All Might smiling down at me.

"Young Midoriya is here!!! HELLO!!" Then suddenly, the all muscly, strong and tall All Might turned into a... twig? Let's just say that. I was shocked and I screamed. Then All Might looked down and said:
"Young Midoriya, this is my true form." I held my breath and nodded, trying to hide my shock, but miserably failing.
Then, All Might told me about this weird quirk - One For All, that was past onto him, and about how he was quirkless too before he inherited it. He told me about a battle with a villain that injured him in the side and that is why he had this form, and he can only contain his muscle for 3 hours now.
I listened to every word, writing them all down into my notebook. I was shocked, sad, angry and happy at the same time. Then came something that I wasn't expecting at all.

"Young Midoriya, I saw how you rushed to help your friend from that sludge villain today, I saw how you strategised and how you acted quickly depending on the circumstance. I saw the hero living inside you and now I would like to ask you, do you want to be my successor and be the ninth user of OFA?"

I froze and looked up at him in disbelief. Oh. So this is why he told me to meet him and why he told me everything. I thought as I looked him in his eyes. I studied eye expression, and I learned how to tell if a person is serious about something or if they didn't mean what they said or they were joking. Which is why I knew that Kaachan didn't actually mean to be mean to me. I could see it in his eyes - regret and not wanting to do what he was doing. But as I looked into All Mights eyes, I saw that he was dead serious. He wasn't joking. The number one hero wanted me to be his successor.

My eyes widened and mouth dropped. I wanted to say something very seriously and confident, but my answer came out very shaky and croaky.
"Y..yes!" I said, and burst into tears.
"Oh... um Young Midoriya? Are you ok? Why are you crying? Ummm...."
All Might said, with worry in his voice. I wiped away my tears and said:
"Yes!!! Yes!! Thank you!!"
All Might once again smiled and patted me on the back.
"Ok then. You wanted to get into UA right? We need to prepare your body so that it's ready to inherit my power, so we will train. When are you free?"
"I..oh, well I'm free anytime from 5 to 8, so we can train in those hours, but where?"
"Well, here!" All Might spread his arms and showed the junk filled beach. I nodded slowly trying to understand why the hell would we be training here.
"O..ok."
"Good, now, you go rest, and we will start our training tomorrow."
"Ok! Bye All M.." I was interrupted by an all too familiar voice.
"Wait."

Me and All Might turned around to see Katsuki Bakugo, walking towards us, calm and serious. My mouth dropped and eyes widened. All Might coughed in surprise and looked kind of.. scared?

Bakugo POV:
I watched and listened to the nerds conversation, shocked, angry, and confused all at the same time. Then when they were about to walk away, I decided that I needed to tell them I listened to their conversation and knew their secret. I gathered all my calmness, seriousness and courage, and stepped out of my hiding place.

"Wait." I said loudly. They both heard me and turned around. Deku's face showed just plain surprise and shock, but All Might's face showed all different kinds of emotions.

I calmly walked up to them, and faced All Might, hands in pockets, and said:
"I heard everything, and before you panic, I promise to keep it a secret. My name is Katsuki Bakugo if you don't know, and I was the one attacked by the sludge villain that you saved. Thank you for that by the way. Also, I want to ask a question, how do you expect Deku to learn the new quirk and master it in 3 months? I mean he didn't have a quirk his whole life, how do you expect him to master a complicated quirk like OFA in three months, and actually, by the looks of it, much less?" I said, now completely serious. I'm not saying I was worried for Deku. No, of coarse not. I was just curious. Yeah, that's it.

All Might took a breath and said:
"Young Bakugo, thank you for promising to keep this secret, I trust you. To answer your second question, I believe that young Midoriya here is very talented and determined, and he will be able to take control of this quirk by the time for the entrance exam. I understand and hope you, Midoriya, understand that there is no need to gain complete control over OFA and that would probably be impossible anyway. You have to at least be able to control it so that you can use it for the examination."

Deku nodded "yes, of coarse. I will try my best."
"So," All Might continued "I will train young Midoriya so that he will be ready to take the exam, and young Bakugo?" He said, turning to me. "Would you like to join our training?"

"Pffft! Sorry but I do my own training and I really don't have time for some extra squats. But I probably will come over for a couple of times just because I'm curious.." I whispered my last words so that they can't hear, but by the looks of it, they did here.

"Fabulous! Join us whenever you want, and believe me, it won't be just some squats." All Might said, smiling mischievously. I "tched" at him and started walking home.
"Whatever. Now I'm gonna go."
"Bye All Might! See you tomorrow!" I heard Deku yell out as he followed me.
"Bye young Midoriya and young Bakugo!" He said, and just like that, he disappeared.

The wall home was very awkward. I didn't know what to say, or more like didn't know how to say what I wanted to. Deku seemed disturbed. He was walking beside me, playing with his fingers, and mumbling something. When we reached my house, I decided to say it.

"Hey nerd."
He looked up.
"Don't overtrain or do anything stupid."
And with that I opened my door and stepped inside, hearing a muffled "ok Kaachan" in return.

Izuku POV:
Kaachan closed the door and I stood there for a couple more seconds, just staring at the door, before continuing my walk. Did Kaachan just say his own way of 'be careful'? He really did?!
I felt an annoying tingly feeling in my stomach. That's weird. I thought. I never had this feeling... maybe I was sick? Oh no that's bad, tomorrow is my first training lesson with All Might! I can't get sick! I eventually reached my house and went to bed.

Bakugo POV:
That fucking tingly feeling is back. It tickled my stomach and it was so fucking annoying. I ignored it and got ready for bed.

As I lay in my bed, I couldn't help remembering the nerd, when he was walking next to me and mumbling weird stuff. Cute. NO! WTF STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM! KATSUKI BAKUGO!!! I eventually fell asleep, shouting at myself for thinking about the nerd, which realised in me thinking about him anyway. I need to train hard and I won't allow that nerd to beat me even if he has All Might to train with. Was the last thought that crossed my mined before I fell asleep.
