"yeah, it is" he frowned at me
"why don't you sound more excited? This changes the rest of your life!" He said taking a ball from the basket.
"Because I'm just a stupid beta! Nothing changed" as if on cue, I suddenly got a cramp in my side "ah.. ow" I made eye contact with Noya, he was smirking

I was lost in thought thinking about what Noya meant when I smelt a familiar aroma behind me "oh, hey Ennoshita. How long have you been standing there?" I asked turning around
"heh, how do you always know its me?" He laughed, it sounded so genuine, other than other times when he's faked it, his real laugh was filled with pure joy, like 17 year old Santa.
"your scent is recognizable, like cherry blossoms"
I wasn't sure because of the strange lighting in the gym but I thought I saw him blushing for a moment but then his expression changed back to how it was before almost instantly. I've liked Ennoshita for a while so this small reaction gave me hope that maybe we could be mates.
"Hey, you got your second gender today right? What are you?"
"A beta" I said rolling my eyes
His expression changed yet again and this time he looked... aroused?
"Are you sure you're a beta?" I looked at him confused

"AH! Fucking hell that hurts!" I exclaimed, falling to my knees. Ennoshita quickly came down to my level putting his arm around my shoulders and started helping me up
"Come on, get up, I'll take you home" I said trying to get him away from everyone in the gym in an attempt of trying to spare him from the embarrassment of saying something he would regret later. With much struggle, I got tanaka to his feet and he clung onto me for dear life.
"E-enno.. i-it hurts! I-it feels like I'm being boiled alive!" He looked up at me with tears in his eyes and an indescribable expression At this point he had drawn the attention of mostly everyone in the gym. "Y-you're an alpha right? Please help me!~" i felt blood rush to my face
"I'm trying, just, breathe into my scent glands for a bit, it should help" he nodded and breathed shakily into my neck, falling asleep after a few seconds. I picked him up bridal style and walked to the door of the gym, making eye contact with Daichi before leaving to confirm I was allowed to take him.
I had been to Tanaka's house a few times before this after school so when I got there I quickly got the spare key from under a rock and went up to tanaka's room, placing him gently on his bed and tucking him in before pulling out my phone to message saeko
