y/n's pov

i've been stressing out about this whole date thing, and i was overthinking it. i don't need to plan it out at a fancy restaurant, just somewhere that i know she'll love, and i know she'll love it here.

7:10pm

i go to collect jade, i was wearing a red satin wrap dress. it went just below the knee and i did my hair half down, and half up into a bun. i'm not great with hair so it took literally forever to do, but i'm sure it'll be worth it if it makes jade stare.

7.28pm

i knock at the door, and the second it opens my jaw drops. she's wearing a midnight black bardot belted minidress, and she looks stunning. her hair is still done as usual, and she's wearing her makeup more light than usual.
"woah." we both say simultaneously.
i laugh, and grab her hand, leading her to the car.
"where are we going?" she asks enthusiastically.
"that's for me to know, and you to find out." i reply playfully, knowing how much it frustrates her when she doesn't know everything.
she whines, and finally gives in after a while.

"close your eyes." i say.
she does exactly that almost instantly, and i guide her to the date spot.
"open!" i shout.
"it's, wait. is this the hollywood sign?" she asks.
"yeah."
there's a ladder on each letter, and we climb on the O.

jades pov

we climb to the top of the O, and my heart melts almost instantly. she prepared a date on the hollywood sign, there's candles, a pot of calendulas and food set out either side. she knows me so well. i don't like posh foods, so she ordered us mcdonald's- me a bigmac with large fries, a coffee and an oreo mcflurry, she had her usual- 20 chicken nuggets with medium fries and fanta.

i admire her beauty, as her highlighter glistens through the rays of the sun.
"this is so perfect. you're so perfect." i tell her.
"glad you like it, guess it was a good idea to not make it fancy?" she replied.
"you bet. now, let's eat because i can't tell what's more tempting, the bigmac or you!" i say.
she chuckles, and we finally tuck into our meal.
