~Hina's POV~

I heard the sound of a gunshot in the back of my mind followed by the sound of it tearing through my flesh. My eyes snapped open and my body gave a reflexive jerk. Panic settled in, I didn't recognize my surroundings, I was in a blinding white room. A moment later, Midnight appeared next to my bed and clasped my hand in hers.

"Hina, it's alright." She looked exhausted.

I relaxed at the sound of her voice and the feel of her hand in mine. It was a little difficult to breathe, each breath caused tenderness to flare up in my ribs near where I'd been shot. I tried not to focus on it and instead looked to Midnight.

I shakily reached a hand up to her face wishing the heart wrenching look of despair and worry would go away. The adhesive bandage keeping one of my IV's in place tugged at my skin uncomfortably. I made a face but kept going until I gently caressed her cheek. "Senpai?"

Midnight placed her free hand over top of mine holding it in place, which was good since I wasn't sure I had the strength to keep it there and it would have flopped back to my bed uselessly. "What is it?"

"I don't like seeing you look so sad." I murmured wishing I could do something to bring back her lively smile.

Midnight cradled my hand and shifted it slightly, bringing it closer to her lips. She kissed each of my fingers before placing one final kiss on my palm. My face felt hot and I uncomfortably shifted in my bed feeling suddenly strange.

One of her usual teasing smiles spread across her lips, but it was still a little muted. "Keep doing cute things like that and I'll hinder your recovery, Hina-chan." She teased me.

"Hinder it, how?" I asked curiously, not understanding what she meant.

Her smile grew.

Before she could answer, the door to my room swung open and a man wearing a labcoat stepped in. He offered me a warm smile. "How are you feeling, Miss Saito?"

"I feel okay." I murmured.

He smiled, "that's good to hear. Your vitals are all good so I was thinking of sending you home to recuperate there since you'd probably be more comfortable."

"I'll see to that." Midnight smiled and I felt my heart start to race in my chest. The pulse oximeter monitoring my heart rate began to spike.

The doctor looked at the monitor curiously but seemed to think nothing of it once I'd managed to calm myself down. Midnight looked at me with a smile that turned my insides to mush.

"Alright, I'll get the discharge papers in order and we can get you out of here in a bit." The doctor bowed out of the room.

He returned about an hour later and said I was free to go. Midnight helped me change into a fresh change of clothes, just a simple loose flowy cotton dress I could slip on and off without hindering my injury. She helped me into the wheelchair and I felt a sense of dejavu. We'd done this before, after the USJ attack.

Midnight looked down at me as I paused. "Hina?"

"I'm sorry for worrying you so much Senpai." I apologized.

"What do you mean?"

"I got hurt before at the USJ and it upset you, then I got hurt again." I frowned.

Midnight smiled and tenderly streamed her fingers through my hair, "yes, I'll have to punish you, when you're feeling a little better." She winked, "but there's no need for you to apologize, you were just acting as a hero should."

She wheeled me down to an awaiting Cab and helped me into the backseat. It was a fairly quick drive to Midnight's house. When the cab came to a stop outside of Midnight's home I noticed two people carrying boxes inside, Hizashi and a now un-mummified Mr. Aizawa. I threw a curious look at Midnight.
