~Midnight's POV~
I'd noticed Hina was looking a little tired earlier. It might have something to do with the anniversary of when her parents were arrested and she'd almost died, though she wasn't the kind of person to open up and talk about things. Hina always had a calm unaffected demeanor, she wore a polite mask to show to the world but she was hard to read and sometimes very naïve and oblivious to things.
There was a soft knock at the front door and I opened the door to find Hina on my doorstep with a little floral patterned over night bag in her hand. She'd changed out of the cutesy sundress I'd dared her to wear after she lost one of our fun wagers and was now wearing a pair of shorts with an oversized sweatshirt that dwarfed her petite frame.
"Hina-chan, come on in." I took her bag from her and ushered her inside. "Dinner will be ready soon-." I paused as she shyly extended a bottle of wine to me before looking away as her cheeks flushed with color. It was one of my favorite red blends. "What's this for?"
She adorably fidgeted with the bottom hem of her oversized sweatshirt ringing the material between her fingers as she looked at the ground flustered, "For saving me..."
My heart stuttered in my chest as I was momentarily overcome with emotion, "Hina-chan you're so cute." I squealed as I wrapped her in my arms and chuckled silently to myself as I noticed her body turn a bright shade of scarlet.
She wriggled out of my grasp and scampered into the house. Her amethyst eyes that used to once be dull and lifeless held a bright curiosity in them that brightened a little every day. After her parents were arrested and she was released from her family's shackles she got to experience life anew. Her gaze fell on a potted orchid sitting on the table in the entryway that was looking a little flimsy.
"Senpai, this flower isn't getting any light over here." She frowned adorably before holding her hand over the plant.
I watched her with a smile as the palm of her hand began to glow a radiant light. In seconds the orchid looked much healthier from the concentrated sunlight it had received. Hina's quirk was fascinating and she was still learning about it every day, her body could radiate sunlight and she herself could glow as bright or hot as the sun itself. Heat didn't bother her, I'd seen her walk-through lava once, to rescue a smile child that had gotten separated from their family during a volcanic eruption, the child managed to escape with some minor burns thanks to Hina shielding him with her body as she carried him in her arms and waded through the lava. She'd come out completely unscathed, her shoes had completely disintegrated away to nothing and she'd singed off the bottoms of her pants but there wasn't a single burn on her.
"Hina-chan is amazing." I praised her and felt my sadistic nature begin to get riled up as I saw the blush that spread across her pale face. "I have a present for you, as well."
She peered up at me through thick lashes, "What for?"
"Just because." I giggled as I motioned for her to follow me.
We walked through the small foyer into an open living room connected to the dining room and kitchen, beyond the living room was a hallway that led to the bathroom, my playroom and my bedroom. I set the wine down on the kitchen counter before moving to the bedroom to set down her floral bag. I'd showed Hina my playroom the first time she'd come over because I'd wanted to see what kind of reaction I'd get from the innocent girl and was not disappointed. She'd frowned slightly and turned to me and with all seriousness asked me why I had an interrogation room in my home at the sight of all the restraints and sex toys that she had no notion of. Her innocence made her that much more fun to tease.
