"Come on, be brave." Yelena basically has to drag me into the room where she's being kept for the mean time.
"No, Yelena-" Yelena opens the door and the two of us burst inside.
"We hear that you're not talking," Yelena murmurs.
Anastasia sits against the window, looking out at the compound.
"Where am I?" She questions and I sigh.
"Do you know who she is?" Yelena asks as she stalks over to her. "Are you going to talk? You need to talk so that we can figure out what happened.""Nothing will happen to you if you tell us, we just want to know." I tell her. She looks up at me, the same bright eyes as mine. "You need to talk, or else SHEILD are going to take over - and you don't want that. We won't hurt you, not here. And if you talk to us, we can try and help you."
She's mad. There's anger inside of her, and I know that she won't be okay until we get it out of her. The Red Room creates this anger. I wonder if she even knows-
"You... you left me there." She tells me, and I move closer to her. "With him. To become a weapon."
Her knees are at her chest, her arms wrapped around them.
"You left me and you never came back for me." Her words are bitter, they are sharp and pointed... and they hurt. More than any other physical pain I've get before. "I was all alone."
"I'm... I'm sorry." I tell her, but know that she doesn't know the full story. She'd have been too young to remember it, so it's no surprise. "That's not what happened, Ana-""What's going on in here?" Steve is at the door, and there's a crowd gathering behind him. "Nat?"
He's probably confused as to why exactly I'm practically on my knees in front of this girl.
Why Yelena is here with me, why there are tears threatening to fall.
"This only works with honesty, Nat."
I glance over at Bruce, who is staring at me in confusion.
"Guys, this is not a party. Go and find something fun to do." Yelena heads towards them. "You wanted Nat to get the girl to talk, and that's what she's doing."
"Like that?" Peter asks, and I stand up.
