Chapter 3 - A Word With You

Edward's POV:

When I entered detention classroom nobody was there not even Mr. Franklin. I was confused at first but I just decided to sit down and wait for others. I was a bit too early so I wasn't surprised I was the only one here.

After about twenty minutes nobody came. It was weird and I thought nobody will come so I just got up and decided to leave.

When I opened the classroom door to leave I froze for a second.

"Edward what are you doing? You're not supposed to leave detention for another hour? Were you trying to skip?" Mr. Franklin asked kinda getting angry now

"Sir I-I-"

"I don't wanna hear it Edward, go take a seat and don't move a muscle until it's time to leave. You understand me?"

I nodded

"Verbal answer Edward."

"I understand sir."

I sat down back at my seat. My heart almost skipped a beat when I was facing Mr. Franklin moments ago. I started sweating and getting excited. I wanted to wipe my sweat off of my forehead but Mr. Franklin said I shouldn't move a muscle until it was time to go. I must obey him so I did. I didn't move anything until he said

"Time is up you may leave now."

I got up wiped my sweat away and left without a word.

It has been 1 month aka 23th day since I started causing trouble aka mission 'misbehaving for the teacher I'm in love with to get attention from him so we can fall in love with each other and get married'. There was no day in a month when I didn't have detention. My plan seemed to work as I got attention from Mr. Big hot guy. You can call me attention seeker I don't really care.

I was walking to school alone today because these two friends of mine left early and told me after I was waiting for them for ten minutes! So now I was more of running to school because I was almost late. Halls were empty all students were in their classrooms. I was putting my bag inside my locker and taking my books as fast as I could. After that I hurried to english classroom. When I was in the same hallway where english classroom was I saw Mr. Franklin coming from opposite direction he was way ahead of me he was about to enter the classroom until he saw me. He stood there waiting for me so I just hurried even more not wanting for him to wait too long. Then when I came to him we stood there for a moment then he started

"Right on time Edward." he chuckled.

I blushed, his smile was so perfect also his chuckle. I zoned out thinking of how hot he is. He realized that I wasn't in reality so he just gently grabbed my wrist and dragged me inside the classroom. I was pulled out of thoughts by students who were yelling inside the classroom then I realized I was being dragged by my crush it made me blush again.

"Good morning class." He said while dragging me to my seat which was in second row. I sat down placing my books on the table. I didn't pay much attention what he was saying I only paid attention to his body movements. Now it made me think how does no one have a crush on him? It was probably because he was very strict teacher and every student was swearing him behind his back even Peter and Albert. But that can't be the reason no one falls in love with him, right? Thinking about why no one falls in love with him also got another question in my head. Does he have a wife? Is he married? And after those questions I got a lot more questions in my head that just made me overthink. Is he even gay? Is he interested in love?

Those questions made me overthink not even being focused what was happening. I realized I had tears in my eyes and that it was quiet. Everyone started doing their tasks while I was just sitting and almost crying. I saw Mr. Franklin looking at me concerned. I wiped my tears quickly and smiled at Mr. Franklin so it would seem like I was okay. He still seemed worried but he looked away. I started doing my tasks and stopped overthinking.

Bell rang everyone as always rushed out of classroom surprisingly now it was only Mr. Franklin and I left. While I was picking up my books he said.

"Could you stay after class a bit longer in detention I need to have a word with you."

"Yes sir." I said and nodded

I wanted to let out a squeal when I left the classroom. I got excited when he said that I don't think I will ever forget that sentence. I hurried excitedly to my other period before I was late again. I made it in time thankfully.

Bell rang, I got up, picked my stuff and rushed out of classroom this time, excited to go to detention. I opened the door to see some other students already there and Mr. Franklin. I took a seat and waited for detention to end.

This time detention seemed to never be over, I was too excited so it made time go wayyy slower than usual. Mr. Franklin got up and said

"Alright time is up you all may leave now."

I had a huge smile on my face. Everyone rushed out except for me, I was still sitting in same seat waiting for Mr. Franklin to say something. He was just moving his stuff from the table like he needed it clear with no book, no pen, no anything. I was watching his every movement still a bit excited. Then when he was done he came and stood in front of me.

"So Edward, I told you to stay a bit longer right?"

"Yes sir"

"Okay good I see you obeyed me."

I nodded not knowing what to say.

"Anyway, let's not waste time and get straight to the point. So Edward, I have realized that you have been starting to misbehave a month ago, correct?"

"Correct."

"Mhm, and you after all these detentions you're still misbehaving. So I realized that you probably wouldn't stop any time soon and I thought maybe you need a harsher punishment, hm?"

I froze. I didn't expect for him to punish me. I didn't expect to even be punished!

"You need to learn Edward."

It was silent for a minute

"We don't tolerate troublemakers, Edward."

"But sir-"

"No buts. I'll have to punish you for your misbehaviors."
