The theatre was big and old, filled with plush chairs, a balcony and a huge proscenium stage centered in the middle of it.
You entered through a side house door and pull on it, releasing the emergency lock, before making your way down the aisle toward the orchestra section. "Anyone here?"
The stage was dark and bare with the exceptions of the furniture from the Deathrap set.
You stalked down front to the little bridges that extended out over the pit, cross it and moved to stage center, peering into the wings of either side of you, but it was dark. "Hallie?"
*Drip*
*Drip*
Something dripped down from above and onto your face. You wiped it off as just then, a spot light turned on from the back of the house, illuminating your trembling form center stage.
You took a peek at your hand that now had crimson on it.
Suddenly, ropes and pulleys started moving from above. You glanced upwards as a set wall came down and you just barely avoided it as if fell to the floor.
The wall clicked into place, dressed with framed pictures, antique weapons and...
Dewey.
He was hanging from it, pinned up against the wall and very much dead. His arms were outstretched like he had been crucified and his body was a bloody and bruised mess.
You halted, frozen in unspeakable horror.
Your entire being felt like it was being ripped apart, making you burst into tears as you pushed your fingers into the front of your hair, gripping the roots and muttering a weak 'fuck'.
As you backed up another wall flew in, sealing the backstage area off and trapping you. Your eyes widened in shock at Hallie who was strung up, her body hanging lifeless.
You screamed and ran to the other side of the stage when a third wall came crashing down. Attached to that was the gutted body of Joel.
You turned back to the front of the stage where a person was standing, now walking across the bridge, holding a video camera. "You've seen this movie before, haven't you?"
Your body froze, the pain in your chest becoming unbearable as your legs were glued to the floor. Did you just hear correctly?
No fucking way.
The camera pulled away, revealing Derek's sickening smile and bloody nose. "Smile for the camera."
You were stunned into silence, your brows tilting together as you slowly edged away, moving towards the wall where Hallie was hanging while your head felt like it was spinning.
Derek searched his entertained and dilated pupils over your face, wetting his lips before rubbing his forearm across his nose to wipe away the blood that wouldn't stop. "(Y/N), you can't keep your back to the audience like that. Could you cheat a little forward for me?"
"Y-you're kidding, right..." Derek didn't bother answering the rethorical question, letting the silence speak for itself.
You watched on over the silent words which soldified the gut wrenching fact that this was all happening, your voice starting to shake from a mix of panic and pain coursing through your body and clawing its way up your throat.
Derek's voice on the other hand, only became more and more excited. "You're really stumped, aren't you? You know there's two killers but you don't know who they are. I'm a given. The boyfriend. Way obvious. But now you're torn. Everyone else appears to be dead. Hmmm? Hmm?"
