I walked into the, all to familiar, Great Hall, where I usually had breakfast, and sat at, my friends table, the Gryffindor table. I sat next to Marlene Mckinnon, one of my best friends, and a random Gryffindor pupil. When I was seated, I listened in on the conversation my friends were having, and it was about, a certain boy that had been bothering Lily, James Potter.
"You don't understand Marlene, he won't leave me alone, not even for one day." Lily complained. Marlene looked concentrated, while I piled food on my plate and began eating.
"Floor him." Marlene responded. I dropped my fork,
"Marlene, we've talked about this, do not result to violence, even in times of people pissing you off." I taught, "Even though that would be a splendid idea to get him of your back, my sweet Lilyflower." I mocked, eating my toast.
"See. Even they agree with me, Evans." Marlene tried to justify her previous answer. I grabbed my bag and stood up, from my seat, "Anyway, my precious Lily flower, I've gotta dash, to potions real quick, but see you guys in charms period 2 right?," I questioned, already stalking away, and towards the doors of the Great Hall.

While I was wandering down the corridors, a hand suddenly grabbed my collar, and dragged me in an unused potions classroom. I yelped at the sudden pressure added to my neck, only to have my mouth covered, and noises muffled.
"Would you shut up? Please?" came the recognisable voice of James Potter. I calmed down, and ripped his hand away from my mouth, and began panting, trying to catch my breath.
"W-what-?"
"Do you know what Lily's favorite flowers are?" He interrupted my sentence.
Are you FUCKING Kidding me right now? What the actual Fuck?
Red was all I coukd see.
"No, I don't, and by the way, she definitely doesn't like you back." I almost shouted, from the pure, absolute, obliviousness that this boy held.
He was quick to clap back, "How the Fuck would you know that? She's just confused."

"No! No, she's not! You pester her day by day. She hates you." I defiantly shouted this time. "And she will never like you, ever."
"I KNOW!" James screamed, tears welling in his eyes, "I know she doesn't like me back. I'm reminded of that every time she looks at Severus. I just can't move on." Water now poured down his face, as gut wrenching sobs escaped his lips as he sat on a mouldy desk, "I know."
The sight broke me, James Fleamont Potter, crying. I moved, without even thinking my actions through, and engulfed him in a hug.
"I know," he kept repeating into my chest, "I know."
"Shhh," I tried to quite, and calm, him down, "It's alright."
"No, it's not. I'm never gonna be with someone, someone who truly likes me, because I annoy everyone, eve-"

He was cut off, from his self-douting session, by me, kissing him, right on the lips. I separated from him, and lent our foreheads together.
"James Potter, I will not, never ever, let you talk about yourself like that in front of me, ever!" I explained, my voice raising. He looked like he was in a daze.
"Hogsmeade?" He questioned.
"What?" I had to ask, confused as to what he was doing.
"Go to Hogsmeade with me, this weekend? Please." He looked me in the eyes, a pleading look in them.
"Alright Potter, you've got yourself a deal, if you stop bothering Lily." I mused.
"Done!" He finalised his idea.
"Now get to class, wouldn't want you falling behind now would we?" I asked, wiping his face, of stray tears.

I wondered into the Gryffindor common room, and plonked myself next to Alice.
"Have a nice time?" Marlene mused, look in me up and down, with her signicture smirk on her face.
"Yes, in fact I had the most wonderful time today." I sighed.
"Potters a lucky man." Alice sounded sincere, and, completely off topic, was always an honest person.
"About Potter, do any of you know, what's up with him?" Lily asked.
I looked to the girls, I haven't told Lily, shit, and Mary spoke first,
"Have no clue, but," Marlene continued,"I don't think he will be bothering you for a long time, Lilyflower." It was as if it was rehursed.
"Why's that?" She questioned.
"He's got a new obsession." Alice clarified.
"Well, I feel bad for them." Lily truthfully told. And as if on cue, James walked in,"Speak of the devil," Lily spoke.
"Ahhh, there you are hun, I was looking for you, wanted to know if I could be a lucky man, and steal a good night kiss?" He questioned.
"No Pot-" Lily was cut off by moi.
"Sure love," I deadpanned, and stood up, making my way towards him, and kissing him on the lips, "Goodnight." I finished, sending him upstairs, with his dorm mates, that had filed in.

I sat back on the comfortable couch, and was met with a silence, only to be broken by Lily screaming at the top of her lungs,
"SINCE FUCKING WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW!! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!"

I didn't hear the end of that for a couple of days.

P.S: I don't ship Snily.
