Re: Requested documentation

As per your request, the following files pertaining to the Brotherhood have been furnished. Most of the information provided requires no security clearance beyond membership before dissemination; however, there are parts of the aforementioned documents that have been redacted, subject to higher clearance. If the necessary administrative requirements are met, said redacted information can be de-classified, and thus read for private consumption. As new information from investigative efforts is catalogued, you will have access to that as well, pending your clearance permissions level. Please read at your discretion, and we once again welcome you into the Brotherhood of Beasts! We hope you find this preliminary information useful.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS:

Beast-Men ("Homo portentum"):

A species of sentient beings that stem from the same "Missing Link" ancestor as humans. "Beast Men" is generally a blanket term for all Homo portentum, including women and children (further discussed in future works*); there are many kinds of Beast-Men, many that have similar traits or features, but no two are exactly the same. Generally, the DNA sequencing of Beast-Men is virtually identical to humans, but have a "recessive mutative variant trait" that can cause the expression of ancient, animalistic, or mythological phenotypes, thus giving rise to varied and unique physical abilities, appearances, or attributes, passed on through copulation. Reproduction can be with either with other Beast-Men, or humans who possess the genetic trait for expression. (think Wolves and Dogs).

Ex: Two BMs conceive 4 BM children; all have the same phenotypes as their parents (fur and fangs and tails); a BM and a human have 4 kids; human has no BM heritage; the 4 children are likely to be all human, as typical human traits are dominant over BM traits.

Man-Beasts:

Scientifically referred to as "Chimeras", but are colloquially known as "Man-Beasts" or "Hybrids". The term "mutt" is considered pejorative slang, but doesn't rise to the level of being considered a slur. Hybrids are an exceptional occurrence; essentially, a Hybrid is a being that displays typical dominant human phenotypes, possesses both human and BM genotypes, but retains the ability to express specific Beast-Man phenotypes, known as "revealing". This expression can be done either at command, or through particular stimuli. Hybrids are extremely rare, or at least rarely documented, as many choose to live either as Beast-Men (if their expressive traits allow them to do so), or as humans. It is believed by some (both in the scientific and spiritual population) that the "Missing Link" of evolutionary theory was a Hybrid.
