Nico

After the meeting about Ms. Potts, I reported to Chiron about the situation, to which he had the AMAZING advice of "keeping tabs on them." I mean, yes, I suppose I'd be the best for spying, considering my background and circumstance, but seriously? Romanov, Fury, and even Barton are all trained agents, not to mention they're the *faun*ing AVENGERS FOR GOODNESS SAKE!!!!
Like come on man, give me a break ;-;

Anyway, it had been a few hours sense the meeting, and I was y'know, casually walking around, checking on stuff, doing my job, etcetera etcetera, just wanting this day to be over so I could go and see my wonderful boyfriend, but NoOOOoOoo, some stupid idiots decided it would be a FABULOUS idea to bring their fight to the tower! Like what the heck man?! Just let me do my job!

But apparently the Fates have conspired against me, because as I was in the living room of the penthouse, the Avengers broke through the window and were currently fighting a few armed... robots? I think? They were either robots or like Mr. Stark. The leading one, who's design looked similar to Captain America, but... metal?

Basically, it looked like Captain America's suit, but if it had a different color scheme and was like Iron Man. For some reason, the same could be said for the rest of them (I noticed that they were in fact the opposite colors of the Avengers, like, "Black Widow" was white and purple, "Hulk" was red with yellow shorts, etcetera. Personally, the whole "complimentary colors" thing, was unnecessary, hideous, and overall a bad design choice).

The Knockoff Avengers were currently fighting their respective OGs, except one, which, for some reason, was green, pink, and blue with a (pink?)hammer, most likely Thor or something. But like seriously, what in the world is that color scheme? Color me disgusted(get it? XD). It was flying around and attacking with electrical charges that vaguely reminded me of the lightning Thor controls, but didn't quite seem to be identical, like they had tried to copy it and failed, and was attacking the OG Avengers whenever it seemed like they were getting the upper hand, effectively causing a distraction and giving the KO(knockoff) Avengers back the upper hand. And unfortunately, this disgusting Halloween costume gone wrong notice me, and most likely seeing me as an unknown outlier, which, everybody knows can be fatal in any mission, attacked me.

Bad idea.

Third Person

Unfortunately for the KO Thor, it was not some regular assistant, he was Nico Di Angelo, and gods be dammed if he ever let a stupid robot get the best of him.

The robot launched itself from the wall to Nico, startling the Avengers.
But as they were just about to stop and try to help Nico, the robot was slammed on the ground, skidding across the marble tiles. Everyone was stunned except for the robots, which kept attacking their opponents.

The DIY Thor got back up, studying Nico, learning from its past mistake.

It tried everything it was programmed to think of, zapping him, rushing him, shooting him, confusing him, but each time, it just received more and more dents and scratches from the merciless demigod, with the only reason it wasn't completely destroyed by now because Nico can't use full force in front of the Avengers.

KO Thor lounged towards Nico again, hammer first, running out of its programmed attacks. Nico side-stepped and grabbed its arm, using the momentum from lounging the spin it and crash it into already broken window.

While fighting the KO Thor, Nico could hear the Avengers fighting the others.

Now with the no extra robot helping the rest of the KO Avengers, the OGs were able to desimate the robots soon, Black Widow being the first (naturally).

Nico was still fighting the robot. He couldn't outright punch it, then they would question why his hand wasnt broken and how he managed to brake metal, etcetera, he couldn't use his powers, because then even if the mist changed it, they could still identify it as Subject M, so at the moment all he could do was dodge and use the robots momentum against it, which was currently the only reason it was still standing.

It was strange, fighting against robots. When he didn't have his sword, he was used to the feel of a living being, used to rapid pulses he would feel while grabbing them, and heck, he could even feel their soul, if they had one anyway, and he was used to it, the blood, the souls, and the dust. But this? This was too clean. No blood, no dust, no soul, just the eerie metallic sound. Without any life, it was too cold. Too... artificial.

Just then, Black Widow's bullet cut through where the ear would be, if it had one. The Robo Thor fell to the ground, and without as much as a metallic whirl, it shut down.

Nico stopped and regained his bearings, smelling the air. No blood, just sweat and metal. It was strange, and it was wrong. He didn't know why, but this whole attack seemed wrong and incomplete, like the attacks before a war, like a warning, or a... test...

He wasn't able to finish his train of though, however, before Black Widow brought his attention back to reality.

"-co! There you are, why weren't you answering me?"

"Ah, my apologies, I was lost in thought for a moment. What did you need?"

"How did you do that?"

"Do what?"

"Fight the robot."

"Oh yeah. My cousins and I all take various self defense classes and spar from time to time."

"I see, who's your cousin?" By now the rest of the Avengers had just finished walking over to them.

"Percy Jackson,"

"Hey, isn't that that kid that was kidnapped, blow up a bunch of stuff, had a gun fight with his capture, and just had a bunch of unfortunate events?" Tony questioned, pouring himself a Scotch.

Nico's mouth lifted up at the corner for a few seconds thinking about the excuses the mortals made up, and all of the conspiracy theories around it.

The team was a bit shocked, this was the closest thing they had ever seen to him smiling!

"Yep, that's the one," Nico confirmed, before schooling his expression.

They were a bit disappointed at his lack of expressions, but they were used to it by now,

"Uh, neat."

"You could say that."

$time skip/teleportation$

The Avengers were in the conference room with Fury, discussing the recent attack.
After brainstorming possible culprits behind the attack and what could've triggered it, the topic briefly moved to Nico's surprising fighting ability,

"So you're saying that Di Angelo can fight?"

"Yessir, and well from what I've seen." Natasha announced,

The others nodded in agreement,

"Mmm... interesting..."

Fight scenes are so hard to write ;^;
Hopefully I managed to make it work (-^-;)
Anyway, hope you liked it, and thank you to Burnt-Marshmellow for suggesting the idea, which I proceeded to write in the time frame of roughly 8 hours after having writers block for the majority of the month :)
Also, I looked at the views, and holy moly there was a lot of you! Thanks for reading, commenting, and voting!
Hope you all had a ✨wonderful✨
