This morning Jake was pulled from breakfast by Trudy. She and I are familiar but not enough to really know her. Norm has taken a liking to her though.
Grace thought it was odd that he was being pulled out. But she didn't share it with me.
"Get ready and pack your things, We'll be heading out soon."
"Okay!" I linked in early and got up. Going out in just a tank top and pajama shorts isn't a great idea so, I grabbed another pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I put on the same necklace Sylwanin made before she died, and the bracelet Tsu'tey had made to show me how they were made. I remember it well.
"You do not know how to make a fkxile?[I use it for jewelry but it literally means necklace]" He asked with a smile, "All Na'vi know how to make something so simple." He was referring to a necklace, but I didn't have enough material so instead he made me a thick bangle of a bracelet.
I smiled at the memory before sliding some basic survival tools, a knife, some rope, etc, into a small bag before waiting patiently with Trudy at her Scorpion helicopter.

The ride out was simple as always, tetrapteron flocks, some stingbats, and hexapedes. We landed in a clearing outside of the Omatikaya boarders.
"Shut it down! We're gonna stay a while." Grace called to Trudy. I stepped out as the blades stopped moving. I began looking around for those hexapedes we had almost landed on. They're so cool looking to me. They're the only fauna I've had a good look at.
Norm got out and forgot his pack.
"Norm, your pack." Grace reminded. I chuckled and looked at the moss on the ground. It's surrounded by grass-like plants which grow all over Pandora. The flora is surprisingly a lot like Earth.
"Stay with the ship. One idiot with a gun is enough." Grace sneered. I hate grunts as much as her, maybe even more. But I choose to ignore them.
I often went shoeless on these since we didn't go too deep, but Grace asked that I wear shoes. So reluctantly, I did. So, we were trudging through the forest loudly with our shoes and gun and bags.
Jake looked anxious and when those Syaksyuk's came by, he nearly shit himself.
"Prolemuris. They're not aggressive." Grace rolled her eyes, "Relax marine, you're making me nervous." I chuckled.
"I don't think it's funny." Jake whined.
"Well I think it's, uh, funny." Norm said nervously.
We kept moving on and Norm was chatting while we moved. I stopped every-so-often to look around.
"Keep moving E." Jake reminded. So I kept moving.
Soon Grace had found a spot to take samples. Norm watched closely, but I wasn't the sample taking type. I began climbing a nearby tree before taking a moment to rest.
"So, that is signal transduction from this root to the root of the tree next to it." She began, "So, we should take a sample." she encouraged Norm. It was like she was teaching all over again. She looked happy. Jake went off to scout so I hopped down and joined him.
"What are you doing?"
"Following you."
"Well, duh, but why are you following me?"
"Just figured that the company would be nice." I responded. He nodded we found some loreyu[helicordian, the orange spiral plants]. He gleefully touched them before they all sunk away to reveal the hammerhead titanotheres.
